Characteristics: Physically built. Black hair, black eyes, and a long brown hair. "Monkey" tails. Very strong.
Natural Abilities: Oozaru state (Saiya-Jin Monkey), Super Saiya-Jin
Description: The Saiya-Jins, from birth are aggressive and always love a good fight. A Saiya-Jin's main joy comes from overpowering those around him. A Saiya-Jin enjoys the challenge of defeating an adversary whom is stronger that he. Strong from birth, the more a Saiya-Jin trains the higher his power level becomes. If a Saiya-Jin is brought nearly to the point of death by injury and heals, the power jump is incredibly high. In their Oozaru form, the power level jumps 10 times higher than their power level at the time of transformation. In the legendary Super Saiya-Jin form, a Saiya-Jin is only limited to the depth of his rage. Description: Not much is known of Changelings. The only ones that we ever see are Frieza, King Kold, and Kooler. They are a very strong race. But are very limited in population. The Kold Family, have a large portion of the East Galaxy under their control, that is until Goku and Mirai Trunks change that.

Name: Nameksei-Jin
English Name: Nameks, Namekian

Characteristics: Pointy ears, green skin, claws, antennae
Natural Abilities: Flight, A-Sexual Reproduction, Fusion, Stretch Limbs, Increase Size
Description: Nameks are a peaceful race by nature. But they are very strong and deadly. Certain Nameks contain pure evil though. The Namekian race was destroyed eons ago by a terrible storm, but reborn from the last survivor, Guru. They are very defensive of those that are weaker than themselves. Specific Namekian families can create the Mystical Dragonballs. The one known family that can is known as the Dragon family.

Name: Tsfuru-Jin

Characteristics: small build/height, intelligent, peaceful, human-like
Natural Abilities: None, other than intelligence
Description: The Tsfuru- Jins are very peaceful people. Even allowing the more primitive race of Saiya-Jins to to live on their planet. They're not big or tough, but are very intelligent. Tsfuru Jins, were a very advanced society.

Natural Abilities: Nothing you or I can't do!
Description: Humans in Dragonball-Z/GT are basically the weakest race. There are a few strong ones, like Krillin or Tien, but even they cannot stand on the same level as a Namek or Saiya-Jin. They have many weaknesses and few strengths. It is very hard for them to control their ki and they must train very hard to become strong and build up their power levels. Even the strongest average humans (Master Roshi) have a power level, barely over 100.

Name: Artificial Humans/Androids
English Name: Androids
Home Planet: Earth
Characteristics: Most look similar to or exactly like humans. Most often wear the R R (Red Ribbon Army) insignia since they were made by or for the Red Ribbon Army by Dr. Gero.
Natural Abilities: Whatever the creator would like them to do. Most can perform Hikou (flying without having ki) Others can perform assimilation, power absorption, ki blasts, and numerous others.
Description: Androids in Dragonball Z/GT are always very powerful. The majority were created by Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army and the first one that we see is Android #8. This android was gentle and afraid to fight. Android #8 helped rather than kill Goku. Later on in Dragonball-Z we meet Androids #16, 17, and 18 whose only mission was to kill Goku. The most powerful Android created was Cell who was a purely biomechanical Android made of the cells of the Universe's greatest fighters.

Characteristics: Depends on the species
Natural Abilities: Depends on the species, some can talk.
Description: Animals in the Dragonball world are very weak and play a very insignificant role. They are mainly seen as friends and comic relief. Although some animals such as Puar and Oolong did perform some heroic feats in Dragonball. In series such as Dragonball-Z and Dragonball-GT, animals take a back seat to many of the more powerful races.

Name: Shamosei-Jin
English Name: Shamo People
Home Planet: Shamosei/Planet Shamo
Characteristics: Very small. ˝ human size. Green and wrinkled and wear robes.
Natural Abilities: Nothing Special
Description: Not much is known about these people. The only time you see these people are in Movie 8, “ Valiant Fight! Violent fight! Super Exciting Fight!” and prior to the Heaven Tournament. They are a race that was enslaved by Paragus after Brolly destroyed their home planet, Shamosei (later on blown up by Brolly.
Characters: Shamosei-Jin that falls and the one that picks him up. ( Movie 8)

Name: Arlia-Jin
English Name: Arlians
Home Planet: Planet Arlia
Characteristics: They are cricket like and their face resembles a gas mask. Big black beady eyes and speak. They have average strength and are thin. The women are pink-scaled skin and the men are green scaled.
Natural Abilities: Nothing special.
Description: Their entire race is warlike and competitive in nature. They competed in many battles for champion warrior. Their entire race was exterminated after Nappa and Vegeta stopped there on their way to Earth.
Characters: The king, the king’s fiancé, and the prisoner.

Name: Saibaimen
English Name: Saibaimen
Home Planet: Created by Saiya-Jin
Characteristics: They have no planet and are grown and manufactured wherever they need to be. They each had a power of about 1,200. They are almost like a smaller Arlian, but they are gray and have razor like hands, and can also self-destruct. They don’t speak and just take orders. They are breed to die eventually.
Natural Abilities: Just self-destruction and above average fighting ability plus a decent power level.
Description: Nappa uses them when he first arrives on earth and is battling the Z team. They are destroyed rather easily, but they manage to kill Yamcha. They were also used during Vegeta’s youth as training “dolls” that he easily killed or destroyed.
Characters: The one that killed Yamcha.

Name: Mutants
English Name: Mutants
Home Planet: They could come from any planet
Characteristics: Main changes are they could be discolored, have a different shape, or even a different body all together. They come in and out of dragon ball z.
Natural Abilities: They can have many different abilities such as better strength, ki power, techniques, or even abilities to manipulate shape. Description: The Ginyu Force consisted of mutants, except Guldo and Recoome. Other mutants have come in and out of the series, but they have no main part, or it was so minute to matter. Characters: Captain Ginyu, Jeice, and Burter.

Name: Kaios
English Name: Kai
Home Planet: Each has their own planet
Characteristics: They all have bluish colored skin and all have control over some space in the universe. Different Kaios control different galaxy, i.e. North, South, East, and West. Even some control other Kaios. The Heaven relation chart explains the breakdown of it. Natural Abilities: Each Kaio has a special skill that they teach their afterlife students, i.e. Genki Dama and Thunder Flame. They are also considered guardians of their sections of the universe and they rarely actively participate in any sort of combat.
Description: The main Kaio and the first one in the series is King Kaio of the north galaxy. He trains Goku before the Saiyans arrival. He takes Goku to Dai Kaios place in Hades to participate in the heaven tournament where he meets King Kaio of the west, east, and south galaxies. Also on earth soon after during the Tenkachi-Budoki Kai-Oo-Shin is introduced and he is the ruler of every Kaio. Accompanying him is his assistant Kibit.
Characters: Kai-Oo-Shin, King Kaio (North, East, South, and West), and Dai-Kaio.

Name: Genie
English Name: Genie
Home Planet: Earth
Characteristics: They have black skin, and they wear clothing of an Arabian style (Turban, baggy pants, and open vest). They have large circular eyes and there is only one known Genie. Genie cannot tell a lie and can fly using the power of a magic carpet. They are generally humble and weaker then most. They usually spend their life serving another person.
Natural Abilities: They can jump incredibly high and can learn things rather quickly. They are very smart as far as facts, but they put it to no technologically use. They can fly with a carpet they all seem to just have. Description: The only genie in the dragon ball z series is Mr. Popo. He serves Kami and then Dende on Kami’s lookout. The biggest thing he did was after the death of Kami he took Bulma to find the spaceship Kami told him about years ago. This enabled Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan access to Namek quicker then anything else could. He is a gentle soul who enjoyed taking care of the place he lives.

Name: Yardrat-jin
English Name: People of Yardrat
Home Planet: Planet Yardrat
Characteristics: They are slightly taller then half of a human. They are incredibly smart and advanced. They are wrinkled little things that are not physically strong, but possess some of the best fighting techniques in the universe. They have a society like Earth’s, but far more advanced. Natural Abilities: They posses incredibly useful technique which anyone, after time, could possess. The only one we know of is Instantaneous Movement (Instant Transmission).
Description: They only came into dragon ball z once. They were the people who saved Goku once his ship crashed there after he escaped from Namek. These people were to be the next target of the Ginyu Force and Frieza, but they were defeated by the Z team and saved from extinction. They taught Goku how to do the instant teleport technique, which saved the earth in the Cell Game and was used to help him do as good as he did in battle. No one else can copy this technique so it makes this technique that much more powerful.

Name: Bas-Jin
English Name: Basian
Home Planet: Unknown
Characteristics: They are a small green people that have four eyes. They have control over time and space. By holding their breath they can freeze time and take advantage of any situation or battle. They can also freeze one’s mind into a point of stasis where they can’t move their body, but anyone else can. These techniques have no limit except the fatigue caused in the users body.
Natural Abilities: All of the Basians can do these techniques, but they must be worked for. One who does not try to work for it or slacks off will never be able to do it right or for a long time.
Characteristics: The only Basian ever seen is Guldo. He fights the Krillin and Gohan on Namek. He uses these tricks to an advantage in the fight, but because he underestimated them and got cocky and Vegeta killed him from behind. These tricks would have been the death of Krillin and Gohan.
