BACKGROUND INFORMATION
"The Saints of SEELE", These Evangelions were built by SEELE themselves. All data regarding their construction was never released publicly. Like the Test Type Unit 01, the Mass Produced EVAs are very unique from all other units. These nine units are completely identical, down to the very last detail. Each of them possesses a set of retractible wings which enables them to fly, an S2 organ making them capable of operating without the need for an outside source of power, and a sword which has the ability to morph into a replica of the Lance of Longinus.

Each Unit is also piloted by a dummy plug containing the pilot data of The fifth children/17th angel; Kaoru Nagisa. Thus, no actual pilots were ever chosen to command these Units. Furthermore, it is unlikely that SEELE would've been able to find children to voluntarily pilot these EVAs while knowing the purpose that the units were created for. Given all of these factors, it is understandable as to how quickly each unit was produced and sent into action.

    


COMBAT RECORD
Shortly after regaining her fighting spirit, Asuka Langley Sohryu and her Evangelion Unit 02 made short work of the entire Japanese Strategic Self Defense Force. Now despising EVAs existance, SEELE sent in their own Evangelions to deal with Unit 02.

After arriving at the Geofront, all nine Mass Produced EVAs were quickly defeated by Unit 02 in a very graphic fashion. Unit 08 was the only one to survive the initial attack as it had only lost on of it's legs to Unit 02. After regaining it's balance, Unit 08 threw it's sword at Eva 02 which was stopped by Unit 02's AT field. That was until the sword shifted into a clone of the Lance of Longinus and pierced right through the AT field and cut right through Unit 02's head just as the EVA drained it's internal batteries.

Once Unit 02 had been drained of power and was completely defenseless, all of the MP EVAs regenerated their "fatal" wounds and swarmed EVA 02 like a flock of seagulls, each EVA gnawing and pulling at organs and flesh. They quickly devoured the EVA and left her and it's pilot to die.

During the ritual of third impact, the Mass Produced EVAs activities became rather difficult to explain and it is still not entirely certain as to what happened to them. After Third Impact occured, each Unit was found on the surface as nothing more than a statue, each of their cores had exploded and thus, each of them is dead.
