Below are the basic rules of the tavern, almost all the taverns around will have the same rules, so I would advise that you read them carefully, as some of them apply to most all MFFRP channels.

Fly Bys: Fly bys are when you enter the Channel and no posts are made and you just leave. It is understandable if you suddenly get Dissconnected but 'CONSTANT' leaving and entering, isnt welcome...



Idleing, and Entering the Tavern:
When entering the Shadow Mist Tavern, it would be best if you decided on posting where you character is, that way it's easier for others to find out were he/she is.If you are to be away from Rp or the computer please put "AWAY" "BRB" or "BBL" or whatever the case may be, to indicate that you will not be incharacter and that you wont Ideal. Idealing isnt to big of a deal, for i understand that alot of patrons come in, and Rp in other tavern's which are fine. If you ping out, then you ping out. If you are Rping in another Channel, please make it known possably by, posting something in the tavern. Anyone may come in the tavern, and are welcome. And, we are all family here, and friends. If someone is within the tavern, and doesnt Role Play, but is in some other Channel, then they are merely showing there dedication and love for being in the shadow mist tavern. So Idealing isnt frowned upon, but merley thought of Devotion to the Channel.Now, if someone Ideals for a lone while, and just never Role Play's period, he/she may be confrunted with kindess in merley asked "do you come in here to be here, or...Why are you here?" There will be no negativity towards you. It would be a question, wheather to be answered or not, we just wish to know why you ideal so much, maybe there's a reason, Just for information only, you will not be sought as bad if you ideal alot, we value your Devotion to the Tavern.




Posting Sexual Channels: this is NOT allowed in the channel at all. If you post any sexual, bad words (Such as F***, Sh***, etc..) it will result in an immediate ban/kick by any AOPS. This also applies for no posting of any channels in the tavern. You CANNOT PM someone or place it in the channel! if you do, it will be reported to an AOP and you will be kicked.



Character Interactions:
Characters are welcome to interact with another. Ie: Female and Male. Kissing is allowed in the Tavern, but MIND you that this is a PG rated INSIDE the tavern to a certain extent. You are welcome to kiss your beloved, but mind you, that 'suck' faces is not appropriate and I'm sure that One should not do it in public, You are welcome to go into another channel and do that, Ie: Your Own Private Channel. But please keep one's contacts such so, to one's self and other. You are welcome to Kiss someone and cuddle etc, But to your own judgment you should think and consider what to you thinks to be appropriate, if it wont be, then simply move to another channel. Besides, I know a few patrons who lose there Lunches easily, and seeing something like that Isn’t to Good! I'd hate to break up a fight due to spillage of unwanted contents upon one's Clothing..



Battles Inside the Tavern: Battles inside the tavern are not allowed.If a brawl occurs that is fine. Small fights may break out in the Tavern, but SERIOUS and HEAVY fights ARE NOT ALLOWED in the tavern. If Bloodshed occurs within the tavern, the result would be one of the AOPS/SAOPS would either Kick you and give you a warning, or if you have faught within the tavern before and has been given a warning you will be banned from the channel for at least 2-3 days. Battles within the tavern are not allowed, if a fight happens to break out for whatever reason you MUST take it outside, be considerate for the other patrons.



Power Gaming/God Moding: This is highly restricted from the tavern. Power Gaming means that your character has every power in the world and can destroy whatever they want (and face it NO character can with hold all the powers of the world). God Moding means that you cant EVER die. Your character must have a weakness of some sort, and must be presented to an AOP. (An AOP will not revel your weakness to anyone). These two things should be avoided when role-playing. If you have a problem then discuss it with an AOP, if you complain or argue with an Saop or Aop and the Saop or Aop disagrees with you strongly and was a witness to this, it result in an automatic Kick and if necessary a ban. You can also e-mail Shenna`Dee with your complaint and she will be happy to discuss it with you. Please, if Need be this e-mail complaint must be (if you have it) accompanyed by a Log.



AUTO-HITS: this is when you just randomly attack someone while they are attempting to attack you, you keep on attack them and dont give the RPer any time to attack back...You must give at least 4 min before attacking agian if the RPer doesnt post.



The Tavern: The tavern is protected by magic and CANNOT be destroyed. No matter how powerful you think your Character is, the tavern cannot be destroyed. Chairs and tables can be smashed, broken etc..but they soon will be replaced again in a matter of seconds.



OOC: OOC can stand for two things. Out Of Character which means your not in character, but around, and Out Of Conversation which mean has nothing to do with Role play but possably your mun (Yourself). OOC is allowed in the tavern as long as it is kept to a min as TWO posts of OOC. anymore then that you will be asked by an AOP to move it to the OOC channel. #Sm_ooc (Or it has been moved to #TDH_ooc)



Creating a Character (yes, there are rules to this as well): When creating a Character you must consider a few things

1) Your Character CANNOT be god, the devil or some Invinsable creature/person. There HAS to be a weakness of some kind.

2) Your Character is Allowed to have an ability/skill. Your Character can ONLY have ONE major Ability or Skill. You cannot have for example 4 Strong undefetable Skill/ability.

3) You can be very creative while creating your Character. You can make him/her a simple mind reader to a worthy mage. But mind you, that they cannot withhold all the powers within the world. I have one suggestion about Creating a Character, You must consider the fact that others need to understand your character's description and abilitys/skills (You may want to post this in your Description). Please dont make your Character with one head,5 arms, pegged leged and like 4 wings. Because this is not a suitable Character..



Cloneing: Cloneing means that you bring up another Mirc box and rp one of your Characters at the same time. This IS allowed, however you cannot have more then 3 clones within a tavern at once, otherwise it gets confusing for Rpers and I am sure yourself. ((this Rule really applys to Voices, and Aops)Leave Of Absence, Or Absence within the Tavern: If a parton within the tavern with an Voice, or Aop Is absent or is Going to be absent for a long period of time, and you are aware of this absence, then you may Take a leave of Absence, this will indicate that others will know you are gone for a long period of time, and it just lets others know where you are. If you are absent for a long period of time, and the Tavern owner is not aware of it, then if you are A VOICE, you will be placed down, until you return and you may request (or the tavern owner will re-evaluate you)To be re-evaluated, you will happily be placed as a Voice.

Weapons In The Tavern: Weapons are allowed inside the tavern, BUT they cannot be used to fight with. You may take them out and Clean them, you may keep them at bay, or next to you, but you cannot use them to battle with. That is why we have a Battle Dome/Arena. This rule WILL be enforced if not followed, please, be responsable for your own actions.


Colors and Fonts: colors and fonts in the tavern during Role Play is not allowed. Please, it is better if you use dark colors. NO PINKS, NO LIGHT REDS, NO BOLD, NOT ITALIC, and NO background Colors with colors inside etc. It just makes it an equal environment for everyone who is Role Playing. And it's a lot easier for others to read as well. Please take this into deep consideration. If you are using other colors, an Aop will ask you to please change them, or a voice, please respect there wishes and the respect for other people in the Tavern.
