If you are new within the tavern, here are some key rules and guidelines to help you Learn how to Role Play. Steps to Find the tavern You can download what I truly recommend to anyone, seeing how this is what all rp'ers use, due to better quality in options and its better standards. You can download mIRC or go to www.mirc.com and Download a version there. You can use the internet version and go online from any internet server and connect by going to: www.spacechat.net and then fill out the information in the box. Go to the Java Chat Applet Here which will directly link you to the tavern though the java isn’t always highly recommended. If you need any help then PLEASE e-mail Shenna`Dee at: ShennaDee@hotmail.com Creating a Character: There is a lot that you need to think about while creating a character. Such as look, feel, size, age, type of character (ie: Mage, demon, sorcerer, wizard etc..) and things like that. There are a few things that you need to remember and consider not placing in your character when creating one. Such As: Do not make him/her God, Devil, or ANY other Character who can wield all the magic in the INTIRE universe! Because face it. No one can with hold all the magic in the world, because that wouldn’t be fair to others. Don’t make your Character a 200 Foot tall dragon, because he/she wont fit in the tavern, Feel free to make your Character whatever you wish, but remember it has to be accurate, and it has to be real. NO characters with a million nails through their body and say “They are human and are living” because that is NOT accurate! Please make clear the Character you Role Play by placing something indicating your character in your Character Description. Creating a Character Description When creating a character description you shouldn’t make it 3 paragraphs long, because normally when you walk into a new tavern or just in any tavern, its helpful to others role playing to get a sense of what you look like by posting your Character Description. Make it short, not to long, because that is the WORST thing to have is a LONG description, no one will read the entire thing and sometimes things get cut out because they are to long. Making a Character Description is not hard at all, basically it’s self explanatory, and you just describe your Character in at least a paragraph or in a few sentences. IF your character requires MORE description then from what you posted in a tavern, then say at the END of your description (the one you posted in the tavern) “Msg me for MORE detail description” That would do just fine. Here is some Information to make it Easier whenever you come into the tavern and wish to post your description without Re-Typing it. You must be on mIRC or Pirch to do this: Go to the Menu Bar where it has a GREEN a/ Next a BOX pops up and there is a bunch of blank space. On top is a small tool bar like structure. The box you should be IN is : Aliases Then you type in /whateveryouwant and then right after that /me (this is just the char I would be using) Characters Name: Shenna`Dee EXAMPLE: /shenna /me she is a young women, her hair is of a dusty, dark blonde color, she stands tall, her muscles are seen well through her cloak, she is well built physically and mentally. (you make your own Description and place it where my example is) Once you do this then click out of the box. If the save box pops up click “SAVE” then go into a channel and try it out. In the little box where you type in your Messages, type in (Example)~~> /shenna (or whatever you named it) and your character Description SHOULD come up. If not and you sill cannot figure it out. Ask an AOP within the Tavern (aop=@) and or e-mail Shenna`Dee: ShennaDee@hotmail.com REMEMBER: You must read the rules and learn things that are allowed and that ARNT allowed in the tavern, so that also can help you build a Character. Take a look around and ask people for there descriptions, to help you get a better feel for it.
