3rd March,2001 . Rushden and Diamonds stretched their lead at the top of the Conference to two points after a 2-0 home win over Woking. Goals from Duane Darby and Shaun Carey secured 3 points for the Diamonds. Yeovil dropped points on the leaders as again they couldn't pick up a win, this time they fought out a 1-1 draw with draw specialists Stevenage Borough at Huish Park. Warren Patmore put the hosts ahead but Stevenage players Robin Trott proved the hero grabbing his side a point with 12 minutes to go. At the other end of the table Kettering Town kept their great escape alive with a 3-2 victory over high flying Southport whilst Northwich Victoria climbed further away from the relegation zone after thumping Scarborough 3-0 at the Drill Field. In the relegation 6 pointer at Kingsmeadow Kingstonian grabbed a vital 1-0 victory over Hednesford Town whilst Forest Green Rovers were beaten 3-1 by in form Dagenham and Redbridge. Leigh RMI thumped Nuneaton Borough 6-2 in their game whilst Telford came away with three points from Dover as they won 3-1. In the only other game in the Conference today Morecambe beat Boston United 2-0 to move further away from the relegation dog fight.
. 'Legendary' keeper Jimmy Glass has joined Conference side Kingstonian on a free transfer from Crawley Town until the end of the season. Glass made his debut between the sticks for the K's in their 1-0 win over Hednesford Town today.
