Canvey Current Form Recent Result:Harrow Borough 0 v 2 Canvey Island Top Scorer: Wayne Vaughan 22 League Position:2nd (Ryman Premier League) Blue Army Website Score Prediction: City 2 v 0 Canvey *City to win in extra time Preview The blues take on Canvey Island tomorrow in the FA Umbro Trophy semi final second leg 2-0 down after the opening leg and with it all to do. City produced a shocking performance in Essex last Saturday and blues boss Graham Barrow is calling on his team to produce another Oxford type performance where they came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2. An early goal is crucial tomorrow if City are to peg back the two nil deficit but they have to be careful not to concede to the Ryman League side which would surely end the tie. Canvey where superb last Saturday but there was still signs that if City could play like me know they can they could get back into the tie. Graham Barrow is boosted by the return of Chris Blackburn who was superb at Dover on Tuesday night and will probably start in the centre of midfield. Andy Porter limped off on Tuesday night and could be doubtful as could Carl Ruffer who aggravated a hamstring injury in the first leg. Paul Carden and Mark Beesley should return after missing Tuesday's encounter. Neil Fisher also missed Tuesday's game through injury although a few skeptical fans thought he may have been dropped after a recent poor run of form and I expect him to return but maybe to the bench with Darren Moss keeping his place after a recent good run of form. Canvey will have the same team out that beat Chester last week, the blues will have to keep watch on midfield hardman Steve Tilson (baldy to those who where at Canvey) who had a fantastic game last Saturday and will also have to watch Wayne Vaughan who was a constant threat to the blues back line last week and scored a superb second goal. City are lucky to still be in the tie we all know that and I'm sure the players will produce a much better performance tomorrow than they did last week but it remains to be seen if it will be enough. Graham Barrow is calling for fans to turn up in there numbers for tomorrows crucial game and to create a good atmosphere and get behind the lads. The players owe us after some of the recent performances especially at Canvey but it remains to be seen if they have it in them to score three goals against in form and cup hero's Canvey who are just 90 minutes away from a major final.
