HowTo Notes:

- If you just want to submit a link to your site go here.

- You don't have to have a website to submit a free pattern.  See this.

- You can also submit tips and 'tricks of the trade'. The procedure is the same as for HowTo  Submit an Article.

We would like to hear about your favourite Craft Webrings.  We will be adding a list of good Webrings recommended by our visitors.

HowTo Promote Your Craft Site for Free*

Right now I'm pretty busy helping to get HowTo Universe ready for It's 'official' launch. I'm really excited about some of the things we have planned for this section but I'm sworn to secrecy.

I can tell you this... we will have free craft patterns. My background is in pattern making and designing. Soft toys, dolls and soft sculpture are my specialties. If you can give me a photo or drawing of something I can usually create a pattern for it. (or something pretty close.) I will be offering some of the patterns I've created in the past for free at HowTo Universe.

We are planning a very large library of free patterns. This is where You come in. You can submit a free pattern to our Arts & Crafts library and get a link (or links) to your site.

Ideally you would submit a pattern {or patterns) instructions and a picture of an item that best represents your particular style. You will end up with several links to your site in this fashion and the visitors will more easily be able to find the craft sites they are most interested in.

When you submit complete instructions pattern and picture you can include a list of other patterns, kits, services etc. that they will find on your site. In other words plugging your site is okay, I think this is an excellent way for us to build our content, for you to really promote your site and for others to find what they need.

Suggestions and comments are most welcome. If you are interested in volunteering to review submissions, test out instructions and patterns we'd appreciate it very much.

The goal is Everybody wins!

HowTo Promote your offline Craft Business.

Read the above then just substitute your snail mail or other offline contact information i.e. location and phone number of your small business.

If you don't want a website you might think about a simple  web presence page. This would be like a one page ad. The page can be maintained by a company that specializes in this sort of thing for a fee. They design the page and give you a web address that can be used in your advertising or added to your business cards etc.

Another (and free) option would be to link to your HowTo Universe Article or HowTo Instruction page from any online advertising you do. The page address or URL would be way too long for print advertising until next year when we go to our own servers.
