Rules

Welcome to the RPG. Care to join? There's rules you'll have to follow, but their mostly the usuals as well as a few of my own. We're not very strict, but we expect that the rules that have been set in place will be followed. The rules aren't very long, we just want to be sure everything is mentioned so that we don't have fights erupt on matters that aren't covered. Have fun, but don't be a bother. If too many people are making a nuisance out of themselves with the freedom that has been given to them, then we'll have to tighten up the rules, and that'll be fun for no-one. (I've read the rules before, let's skip to the outline!)(I KNOW all of this! Take me to the RPG!)

You're welcome to use characters from the MegamanX series, the regular Megaman series, and even a character that isn't in the Capcom universe if you like. We run an equal opportunity board here.

Here's the rules. We're not as strict as most people, but they're expected to be followed

Character rules:

  1. You need a character profile. Requirements for this can be obtained in the Profiles page. Once you have filled out and sent a profile you can go ahead and start. You don't need to wait for a reply or for the profile to show up. If role-playing without a profile becomes a nuisance, this will be changed.
  2. Character relations. We don't mind if your character is a brother, sister, son, daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, ect. of any of Capcom's official characters. This is a fan rpg after all. We do draw the line at being mother/father/aunt/uncle of any of the official characters(X and Zero already have fathers...) If you would like to be a relation of a another fan's character, talk it over with them by e-mail or a marked non-rpg post.
  3. Official characters- Okay with us. This is on a first come, first serve basis. If you really want to play an official character, but someone else already has it, you must have a way for role-player to be able to distinguish them (ex: Protoman and Breakman, or Protoman and Protoman X). The newer character must also have differences in physical appearance and personality. Both characters will originate from different dimensions than each other.
  4. Character Relations (cont). You may be related to official characters, but it is the choice of those who are playing the official characters whether they will respect the relation or chose to claim different dimensional origin.
  5. Official characters (cont). Role-players are not allowed to introduce official characters into the story line. This may cause conflict with the Character Relations rules if too many people want to plug in official characters that know their own.
  6. We understand that people may have multiple characters that they want to use. You are allowed to use as many as you want, but the suggested number is around 3 (including your main character). This is also suggested for pets. Too many characters will be hard to keep track of, so try to keep it too a minimum.
  7. You can't kill other characters, except by permission of character's owner (though it's not suggested)

Posting rules:

  1. No God-moding. Probably the most watched for and upheld rule in the rpg. This will not be tolerated. It is fine to have special powers/armor/ect but everything has a loophole, weakness, and/or drawback. These must be posted in your profile for all role-players to access. Anyone caught God-moding will have their posts deleted or rewritten and will be suspended from the board for a week's time. Further infractions will result in expulsion from the rpg.
  2. No vulturing. There's nothing worse than someone constantly taking advantage of your weakness simply because it's really easy to type it in and win every time. Any one caught vulturing will have their posts deleted or rewritten and will be suspended from the board for a week's time. Further infractions will result in expulsion from the rpg.
  3. NO NEWBIE ROASTING - Section 3, page 7 of the Friendly Forums cookbook strictly says:
"Newbies are a rare delicacy, often under appreciated by the normal forum-goer. They are very delicate, and easy to burn, something that is guaranteed to happen if roasting is the chosen method of preparation. Newbie is best when prepared slowly over time, and properly seasoned with good influences - and most importantly - with very carefully executed temperature changes performed by experienced forum moderators."
So be a good forum goer, and don't take newbie roasting into your own hands. If you think one's being undercooked, let a mod know. =P
  4. No excessive profanity, violence, and/or gore. You never know, kids could be reading this...
  5. NO SEX!!!! How many times will I have to say this? Hopefully not many. It's fine and dandy if your character(s) are making some comments such as in trying to tease, confuse, or mental upset character(s) of the other gender, but only where it's tasteful, and don't go overboard.
  6. Try to keep it PG-13. Too much adult material spoils a role-playing meant for the enjoyment of fans.

And finally, Posting Requirements:

  1. Name- use either your name or the name of your main character. If you have multiple characters, you must select one of them as your main character.
  2. Title your posts- untitled gets boring, quickly. I don't care if it's cheesy, just put something original! (Maybe someone will post some crackers to go with it ;P )
  3. Post something inside- and I mean more than one sentence. If You aren't creative enough to post something worth reading by the other role-players, then you don't belo
