hello, welcome to my blog

I have no more friends. Okay, that's not true...but it feels like it. John left last week to go back to Waterloo (the bastard!). Who am I going to climb with? I have no one to play pool with anymore...and no one to convince to buy pricey climbing equipment from MEC. AND...who's going to laugh at all my stupid jokes.. *sniff*

Pat's back :) FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay!! :) :) :) I've started to count the days...it's hard to get any work done.. So I made a list of things to do before he arrives: Clean apartment, buy food, count the days.. 8 more days...

One of my best friends just got engaged! I figure that it's public knowledge, so why not post it on a blog? :P Nic and I knew that Shan would be the first...congratulations luv :)

Spent the labour day weekend in Brampton with the family. It was really relaxing to be back home. I didn't have to worry about making myself food...I could just lie on the couch all day and not feel too guilty.. Plus, my mom makes the best food...much better than my pathetic attempts at Indian food. My sister left for Cancun on Saturday morning...I'd better get some presents! :P

I've been really frustrated with work lately. I got pulled into an emergency project because the guy working on it decided to take a vacation for two weeks just before the project is due...I got 1/2 a day of ramp-up on code he's been working on for a year and a half and now I'm trying to migrate it to a new platform, a new sdk and a new server platform/speech recognizer. So on top of learning about dialogic hardware and T1 lines, I'm trying to debug his applications so we can have a deliverable by the end of the month. The worst (thank you Microsoft) is an error window that pops up saying "Program Error". No explanation, no help options, nothing. FUN! :) Okay, I'm done my rant.

I'm meeting Alex tonight for dinner...sushi sushi sushi... I've had a wicked craving for sushi lately..
