| I've
created a sound file mod for Close Combat II. I used FFL_Jaguars mod as a base,
and then changed many of the sounds and included some of my own sounds of distant battle,
MG fire, MG firefights, artillery, the CC2 girl and many more.
I loved the music to Jags file so
that has been kept, as well as many of the gun sounds. I however preferred
the old faust sound, (pop) I found the new one tended to sound a lot like a
shreck or a zook, so I replaced that.
I also replaced the standard intro
to battle, drum roll, with an incredible 70 seconds of battle sounds
to entertain you while setting up your units. One note though, don't be
alarmed when CC shows you a brown screen for a second when first entering a
new battle on slower machines, CC isn't used to loading a 70 second drum roll
:) But believe me you will love this sound file. Its well worth the 25 MB
download. If you're still using dinosaur technology to play CC on, this file
will most likely slow you down.

If those Camo
vehicles don't quite get it for you, there's an older Camo
vehicles patch out. I'm sorry, but I
can't remember who brought us these great
graphics, but again this mod is several years old. I've installed these graphics several times, and they used to be standard on my copy of CC2.

This patch gives the U.S. The marine corps Bar team which had 3 Bar rifles per squad. Also the ammunition for the BAR was upped to 240 rounds as is the correct load. The US Army Ranger Team has a 30 cal mg,
bazooka, and
sniper rifle. There is supposed to be a 60mm mortar with this team but after testing i have determined that it is not effective. The 60mm mortar cannot keep up with the team when moving so it becomes seperated and pretty much useless. So I have left this out. - SevenX

An
excellent scenario covering 4 maps, this is absolutely a kick to play,
and because its a plugin, easy to install and uninstall. Be sure to read
the readme file or you'll be very confused. Read it, then play it once.

This
plugin will re-install all of your maps back to original form, simply
install and uninstall it using the config manager. The whole process
takes about 75 seconds. Use this plugin ONLY if you have
previously installed different maps either manually or with self
installers and would prefer to re-install the maps back to original
rather than re-install the entire game. If your maps are currently in
the original state and you are using the map plugins there's no real
need for you to use this plugin. |
