Hey artists and writers out there! Listen up! A two summer contests have come to HPK! The first one is HPK's Summer Fanart Contest, for the artists! Those of you who can get your fanart on the computer can enter! Ok, so here's how it's gonna be: (1) you guys e-mail your favorite picture (has to be Harry Potter related) to Professor Kat, who is back for the summer (2) she evaluates them and sends me what she thinks is the top 3-5 (3) I put them up on a special page of HPK on the 15th of August for you guys to see (4) you guys then vote for what you think is the best pic on a special poll (5) the picture with the most votes wins! The winning picture and artist will be announced on Labor Day!
So hurry to send your best picture to Professor Kat, whose e-mail is:

Now, you don't have to be a professional to enter, just do the best that you can and go ahead and send your picture in!

The 2nd one is for the writers! HPK's Summer Fanfic Contest, which is also great for artists don't like do draw, or don't have a scanner! Pretty much the same thing as the Fanart contest (see above) just e-mail your fanfiction to HOL's Hermione Granger at:

Just like the Fanart contest, Hermione will pick out the top 3-5 fanfictions and e-mail them to me on or about August 15th, the deadline for entries. She will then send them to me and I will put them up on a special page of HPK with a special poll asking which fanfic you think is the best. You guys will have until Labor Day to vote for your favorite story. Then, on Labor Day, I will announce the winners of HPK's Summer Fanfic and Fanart contest. The rules are the same as the Fanart contest (once again, see below) except for one:
All Fanfictions must have a PG rating! If Hermione or I think that the fanfic is unappropriate for a PG rating; it will be disqualified!
That's about it, though, you don't have to be a long time writer or anything and your fanfic doesn't have to be that long, though preferably over 500 or so words. Also, it can be a fanfic that you have written in the past or one that you just now wrote for the contest! Well, those are the contests! Hurry and submit your fanart or fanfiction today, and you could win! ^_^
