Activity.
. .
It is important to
be sure your cat gets enough activity. Do not leave it locked
up in a small carrier longer than absolutely necessary. Be sure
she has toys to play with and a kitty condo or scratching post
to scratch on. If you don't provide something specifically to
scratch on, she will scratch yoru furniture. It is part of the
cat's natural life to scratch, because it helps keep their claws
from getting too long and sharp by taking off the outer layer
of the claw. |
It
is also very important to provide toys such as small catnip filled
mice. Not all cats are affected by catnip, however, in the cats
it does affect, it is said to create a euphoric state and be non-addictive.
With Sassy, it doesn't seem like she gets much of a reaction from
catnip filled toys, however, when I brought home a live catnip
plant she tore it to shreds in 30 seconds flat. I've never seen
her go so crazy over anything before. |
