House Scarlet Phoenix is a Mercenary Company residing within the Barony of Bonwicke in the Kingdom of Ansteorra (Texas and Oklahoma) and being a part of the The Society for Creative Anachronism. Our small but effective fighting force comprises 10 members, that are of varying personas.Click here for a look at our current company roster and for a description of personas within the confines of the Society itself. Our personas range in time periods from the 14th through the 15th centuries and are each from different countries within Western Europe.
Our main goal is to recreate as accurately as possible our individual personas both in our equipment and in our dress while acting out our role as a mercenary company from Medieval Europe. We follow specific rules of membership and have an organized command structure that is employed on the field of battle.
While most of our company is made up of archers , the remainder of our force prefers a variety of polearms, holding true to the actual tactics of the 14th and 15th centuries.We will hire ourselves out to anyone willing to pay our price and will fight for them under our own Terms of Employment
