Services Technology, with an emphasis on alcoholism and addiction services. She continued her education through the School
of Home Economics and Family
Ecology, majoring in Child and Family Development. She was selected for admission into the

Chapter of the Ohio Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Mary Jo has been involved in the
study of holistic healing and health since 1967, and has worked in a variety of
settings providing preventative health care education and consultation services
to schools, churches, community health organization, and treatment
facilities. She believes there is nothing that cannot be
healed through nature, through love, and through God.
Her goal is to establish a
natural health learning center, designed to help give folk medicine back to the
folks! She wants to teach people to
teach people to teach…ways that were taught long ago. Whole foods, free from chemicals, grown as
created by God…herbs in the same manner…clean, fresh water and air…song,
prayer, laughter, aroma, dance, creativity, sunshine and love! These are the ways to a healthier life. What Mary Jo wants is to remind people that
these are gifts of healing that were given to ALL! We were created to be naturally healthy and
well.
This vision is coming into existence through the creation of the Essentials of Life Holistic Enrichment Center in Hartville, Ohio. Please visit the website at www.essentials-of-life.org.
