Jan 6--Three rides for Tyler on the San Pasqual undercard today. Tomorrow he has four, including Sweet Stepper in the Hill Rise Stakes for 3yos. That is the 8th on the San Ysabel undercard.
February Feb 28--Tyler only has 3 mounts today. He rides Boca Dream in the $50K second feature. It's 6 1/2f down the hill.
Feb 22--Tyler is supposed to ride Sweet Stepper in this Sunday's (2/24) Baldwin Stakes at 6 1/2 furlongs down the hill. He's currently 16th in the jock standings.
Feb 14--Tyler has four mounts on this Valentine's Day card. He rides Cause I'm Tricky in the $54K Allowance feature for Cal Bred fillies!
Feb 12--Major facelift is now complete! Tell me how you like it, and if there are bugs that I need to fix! Thanx to everyone who visit regularly! You motivate me!!!

March Mar 23--Tyler has a total of 6 rides tomorrow. He will ride Flying Rudolph in the Crystal Water Handicap against Spinelessjellyfish that goes as the 8th.
Mar 21--Four rides tomorrow: Mi Rio in the baby race, Millenial Meeting, Stellar Light, and Picante Paranoide.
Mar 20--For Thursday Tyler will ride 4. The first is a baby race and he rides Hollywood Honey who didn't draw into today's baby race. Mi Rio's on the AE list for that race also. Then in the nightcap he will ride Barret's Cat.
Mar 19--Tyler has four rides tomorrow. He rides Phyllida in the third and Doc Ihnken (nice one) in the fourth. He will ride Irmaran in the $53K Allowance feature at seven furlongs. Then he rides Capped in the nightcap for fillies. Hollywood Honey's on the AE list for the first which is a baby race.

Tyler has 4 mounts today on this San Luis Rey undercard including Mountain Style in the $53K second feature that is the 6th at 6 1/2 down the hill for f/m 4+. Tomorrow he has only three mounts, none in the stakes races, but he's gonna ride Sportscenter Hero in the nitecap...
Mar 11--The Return of Nightcap Man! Saturday 3/9 was another double win day for Tyler, winning the third aboard Distribute ($7.40) and the tenth and nightcap on Millenial Meeting for a tasty $24.20. Four rides for Tyler on Wednesday.
Mar 1--Tyler won two yesterday!! Boca Dream in the 5th wired them for $11.80 and Devil's Horn in the 7th. He rides four on tomorrow's Big 'Cap undercard! I saw a horse named Tales of Tyler. Well, everyone knows the best place to get tales of our Tyler is right heeeeeere!! ^_^

April Well! Since everyone is typing APOLO ANTON OHNO into their handy dandy search engines, maybe if I say something about APOLO ANTON OHNO, is will increase traffic here! So, here's some stuff I put together about APOLO ANTON OHNO. While I was at it, I also felt like sharing the similarities between horse racing and short track speed skating.
Apr 30--Tyler is currently tied for fourth place in the standings with 3 wins.
Apr 29--Here's how Tyler's mounts did in yesterday's Cal Gold Rush program: Theresa's Year won the $70K Lakeview Thoroughbred Farms Stakes as the favorite and La Bandera ran second.
Wednesday he rides two and Thursday he rides five and is listed on some AEs. He's gonna ride Indy Lead in Thursday's $51K Allow. feat.
Apr 26--Tyler has six mounts on Saturday and four on Sunday. The 9th is the $70K Big Jag Stakes and Tyler's gonna ride La Bandera. Then he's gonna ride Class of Glass in the $60K Gourmet Girl Stakes that is the 10th. Great to see races named after these wonderful horses!
Apr 22--Tyler finished 11th in the standings this meet. Not bad at all :)
Wednesday is opening day at Hollypark and Tyler will ride Daily Sport in the 5th race feature, the $75K Harry Henson Stakes!
Apr 21--Closing day at Santa Anita and Tyler will ride three. In the ninth, the Grade 3 San Simeon Handicap he will ride Gallant!

June Jun 26--Tyler is listed to ride Racene on Saturday in the $250,000 Beverly Hills Handicap, a Grade I test for fillies and mares at 1 1/4 miles on turf.! Never mind, they changed jocks on me :(

Jul 26--Tyler has two mounts today. Tomorrow he has three and an AE. He'll ride Astonished in the GR II Bing Crosby BCH, that is the 6th race.
Jul 22--So Tyler only finished 12th a Hollywood Park this meet, but it was close...Del Mar opens this Wednesday!! YAY!

Aug 20--Nice score on Sunday with Avazando ($26.40) in the third. Two rides tomorrow.
Aug 12--Tyler is in 7th place on the DMR Jock standings. He has two rides today.
Aug 10--A single win for Tyler yesterday but a nice one. Special Matter ($11.20) by a head over Buster B Bimbo in the 4th, a starter allowance. Today Tyler has 4 rides, including Magic Smoke for Sanford Schulman in the Grade II $150K Sorrento Stakes for 2yo fillies that goes as the 8th.
Aug 8--Back in the Winners' Circle!! Tyler scored us $46.60 in the fifth yesterday with Runninwithscissors. Today he had a double win day with Jack's Ole ($16.10) in the 3rd and Chaster ($13.20) in the 5th. Add to that a barrage of second place finishes including 11-1 shot Taormina in the 7th for $11.40 and that was a nice chunk of change. Yum!

September Sep 30--Argh! So Martin wins the riding title by winning 27 to Tyler's 21. But our Tyler sure gave him a run for his dayum money huh! OK, time to hike on over to Oak Tree and meet the big boys again. Tyler has seven mounts on the Lady's Secret BCH undercard.
Sep 29--This is it! Closing day and Tyler has 10 rides. He'll ride Brigade in the $50K Governor's Cup Hcp. and San Nicolas in the $100K Ralph M. Hinds Invitational Hcp. Show some support, yo!
Sep 27 p.m.--Tyler had a double today with Picante Paranoide ($8.60) in the 4th and Potus ($17) in the 9th but Martin is still up cuz he had a double too o_O
Sep 27--Augggghghghghgh! Tyler was shut out yesterday and Martin is up by two! Tomorrow is the day before closing day and Tyler has 5 mounts including Fonz's in the $100K Pomona Derby, they're 5-2 on the line.
Sep 26--Tyler and Martin are still tied for first place with 19 wins apiece. There are only three more days left in the meet and Tyler has 9 rides tomorrow including Spunky Gal in the $100K Las Madrinas Handicap!
Sep 24--Did you catch Tyler's winner in today's nitecap? It was Road to Mortlock for a healthy $35.40. He's still first in the standings ^_^ Tomorrow he rides in 10 out of the 13 races, including Passionforanna in the $50K Black Swan Stk. for 2yo fillies. Thursday he's got 8 rides and he'll ride Pine for Java in the $50K Gateway to Glory Stakes. Another blurb about jocks' race.
Sep 23--On Saturday Tyler won five races to snag the first place position in the jock standings back from Martin Pedroza, only to get shut out on Sunday! Now the both of them are tied with 16 wins each. Read article on Tyler's focus on winning. Today Tyler has 6 rides. In the $50K CTBA Marian Stk., he'll ride Ladylore.
Sep 19--Two more wins for Tyler yesterday with Mamone ($8.80) in the 6th and Stews Embarcadero ($16) in the nitecap, who combined with Da Nine for a $103.50 exacta. He's also first in the standings as of yesterday :):):) Read speculations about this year's jock race.
Sep 18--Heck I forgot they raced on Tuesdays at Fairplex. Anyways, Tyler had two wins on both Monday (TH Lear in the 7th and Swift Admiral in the 10th) and Tuesday (Flylikethewind in the 4th and Wild Carson in the 7th). Tomorrow he has seven mounts including Hostility in the $50K Bustles and Bows Stakes for 2yo fillies. She's 6-5 on the line.
Sep 16--3 wins for Tyler over the weekend. Two on opening day Friday and one yesterday. Today he has six rides including Rainman's Request in the $50K Derby Trial Stakes that goes as the 9th.

October Oct 31--Tyler's Cal Cup rides for Saturday: Crackup in the Juvenile, Waingarth in the Mile, Slippery When Bet in the Classic.
Oct 27--Tyler wins the Carleton F. Burke with Special Matter!! Read Stuff Here! He also wins the final race of the day with Grand Visions ($8.80). On Wednesday he's got two mounts.
Oct 26--How 'bout that Volponi? Well Tyler pulled off a longshot of his own today in the third at Oak Tree: Flying Fugitive for $42.40 pairing with Del Chiaro for a $333.40 exacta.
Oct 25--Tyler rides in all seven of the Oak Tree races tomorrow while the big boys are at Arlington. He'll ride Greenland in the $49K Allowance feature.
Oct 24--Nitecap Man back in action taking the 8th and final yesterday with Candita for $8. Today Tyler has 3 rides, Friday he has 6.
Oct 22--Three rides for Tyler tomorrow. And the pick 6 carryover has gotten to $520,536...I could use some of that.
Oct 20--Looks like Birthday Luck was with us all. Tyler pulled a 68-1 upset on Punk Alley in the third and it was worth $128.80 to us. Today Tyler rides 5 and there is a six digit carryover.
Oct 18--Well, it looks like Tyler only has three rides on his birthday tomorrow. Let's all hope he has some b-day luck! :)
Oct 15--From the SA stable notes: Doug O'Neill would like an invitation to the Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin Racecourse for his Forest Hills Handicap winner, Avanzado. Agent Ivan Puhich said Baze already has obtained his passport in anticipation of making the trip to ride Avanzado in [Hong Kong]
Oct 11--Tyler scored again with Luzern for $10 in the fifth yesterday. Tomorrow he's got 8 rides including Southern House in the GII Ken Maddy Sprint :)

Another exciting summertime development involving "The Great Race Place" was the announcement that a Universal Studios motion picture (based on the best-selling book, "Seabiscuit: An American Legend", by Laura Hillenbrand), is set to begin production at Santa Anita on November 22, 2002. Created by Larger Than Life Productions, the Seabiscuit movie will be directed by Oscar nominee Gary Ross, writer of the critically acclaimed "Big" and "Dave" and producer/writer/director of "Pleasantville." Ross, an avid racing enthusiast, also serves as screenwriter.
The movie will star Tobey Maguire (of Spiderman fame) in the lead role as jockey Red Pollard, with active Hall of Fame jockey Gary Stevens cast in the prominent role of jockey George Woolf. Jeff Bridges will play owner Charles S. Howard. The Seabiscuit production crew performed camera testing on Santa Anita's main track in July.
November Nov 23--Tyler had a double yesterday, winning the fourth with A Lil Excess ($20.40) and the nitecap with Granja Vivo ($13.20). Tomorrow he will ride four.
Nov 22--Tomorrow Tyler will ride Waingarth in the $100K On Trust Hcp against Spinelessjellyfish. It goes as the 4th on the Hollywood Prevue undercard. Tyler has five other rides...
Nov 21--Tyler has three rides today and seven tomorrow. He is listed to ride Special Matter in the Grade I $250K Hollywood Turf Cup on Saturday. Blurb from Blood Horse article:
Special Matter, a 4-year-old gelding, has proved to be one of the best claims of the year since being haltered here on May 31 for $12,500 by trainer Rafael Becerra. The horse has won three of six starts since and earned about $150,000.
"He worked an easy half in 49 and one-fifth Monday and deserves a chance to run in the Turf Cup," said Becerra Wednesday from Santa Anita.

Nov 7--Well Sweet Stepper scratched out of the stakes race, but Tyler did give us a $85 winner in the third with Brigaton. Today he has six rides and tomorrow he has 5, including Bills Paid in the $46K Allowance Feature that goes as the seventh.
Nov 5--Hollywood Park opens tomorrow. Tyler has three rides, including Sweet Stepper in the Bien Bien Stakes.
Nov 3--Closing Day at Oak Tree and Tyler gets the last laugh (sort of). Read about the Morvich Handicap $138.40 winner, and other new articles here!. Tyler ended up in fifth place in the standings, tied with Alex Solis, Corey Nakatani, and Martin Pedroza. Not too shabby, eh? Hollywood Park opens on Wednesday ~.^

Dec 8--Tyler and Crackup ($15.00) win the NTRA Great State Challenge Juvenile!
