6/11/08 - New Album Sold in Wal-Mart Only?

According to the Wall Street Journal and sonybmg.com, AC/DC's next studio album will be exclusively sold at Wal-Mart stores in the United States.

4/28/08 - New film Released with Brian as the Executive Producer

The comedy film Totally Baked (Unrated) was released on DVD on April 22, 2008.

The Executive Producer is Brian Johnson, and the soundtrack features 3 Brian Johnson songs.

The tracks featured are "Chain gang on the road", "Chase the tail" and "Who phoned the Law". As the songs were also part of the Classic Rock Cares project they feature Cliff Williams as well.

4/28/08 - Fremantle Launches The Bon Scott Project

The City of Fremantle is presenting the Bon Scott Project, an event to mark the life and times of their historic rocker Bon Scott.

The Project, which will take place at the Fremantle Arts Centre from May 17 through June 29, will features works from 19 artists honoring the late AC/DC singer.

4/24/08 - AC/DC Complete Recording New Album

Accordng to ultimate-guitar.com, AC/DC have completed the recording on their new album and will next work on getting the artwork done and take care of the promotional activities in connection with the release, to be followed by a tour.


4/21/08 - Producer Announced for Next Album

It’s official, according to AC/DC’s official website, acdc.com, the boys are “set to release new album this year.”

The waiting is almost over! AC/DC fans can expect the band's next album of new material sometime later this year. The band are currently recording in Vancouver with producer Brendan O'Brien and long time audio engineer Mike Fraser. This will be the band's first collection of new material since the release of Stiff Upper Lip in 2000.


4/17/08 - Producer Announced for Next Album

Many sources are announcing that Brendan O'Brien will be the producer of the new album. I've found that info on a few websites as well, and even our very own T-Storm heard it on the radio this weekend. O'Brien has produced many artists including Pearl Jam and Jackyl.

2/20/08 - Cliff Says They Are Ready to Hit the Studio

AC/DC may getting closer to ending an eight-year drought of new music. "God, I'm ready," bassist Cliff Williams, who was in L.A. to participate at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, tells Spinner. To that end, the group will hit the studio March 1.
