12/14/05 - Brian featured on new DVD

Brian Johnson is featured in the DVD realease "Hard Rock Treasures". The footage includes a feature of Brian at his house in Florida. Brian shows off some stage clothes from 1985, a piece of his racing car and also original hand written lyrics to "Hells Bells".

11/28/05 - Brian and Cliff to Play Benefit Concert

Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams will be performing at the 96 K-ROCK For Relief II concert to benefit the victims of Hurricane Wilma. The show takes place on December 15 at the Germain Arena in Estero, Florida, where they both performed at a previous benefit in December 2004.

11/1/05 - The Black Crowes pay tribute to AC/DC

The BLACK CROWES planned a Halloween surprise for fans when the group wrapped up its U.S. tour on Monday, October 31 at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago. The group masqueraded as its own opening act, dubbed BC/DC. The six musicians sported Angus Young wigs and caps and played four AC/DC covers, then left the stage to return for their regular BLACK CROWES show.

9/9/05 - Considering double album?

Angus Young told the HIT PARADER magazine that AC/DC has written and recorded so much material over the last year that they might seriously consider making their next album release a double disc.

"We do have a lot of songs at the moment. But that's not incredibly unusual for us. We tend to have a lot of material at some point in the recording process, then begin to whittle it down. But this time, we like a lot of what we're hearing, so the idea of expanding things out is not out of the realm of possibility", Young said.

AC/DC's 1980 breakthrough "Back in Black" has been certified for U.S. shipments of 21 million copies, tying it for fifth place with Billy Joel's "Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & II" on the Recording Industry Assn. of America's all-time best-sellers list.

Elsewhere among the RIAA's May certifications is a triple-platinum award (U.S. shipments of three million) for AC/DC's 1976 set "High Voltage."

The DVD and book set "Inside AC/DC" was planned for a release in May but classicrockdirect.com, who will release the product, reported it's now postponed. No new release date is announced, but CRD believe it will be out around August.

A new DVD and book entitled "Inside AC/DC" will be released on May 9, 2005 featuring rare archive footage and commentary from renowned critics.

2/1/05 - Brian Dropps out of Musicians 4 disaster Relief

Brian has dropped out of the performing line-up for the Feb 5th M4DR event.

According to the organizer of the event, Brian felt that the event had become too 'commercialized' and that the surrounding 'Mardi Gras' atmosphere did not properly reflect the original purpose for which he had chosen to perform.

The official word was given Friday. Although there was nothing official posted on m4dr.org, as of yet, it does reflect the new lineup.
