"An Aqueous Solution"

A dark circle loomed over my head. It was just floating there above me. What did it mean? What could the black circle mean?

"Estrella, I have to talk to you." Vanessa was barely waking up when the black cat trotted down her blankets. "I had the weirdest dream in the world. It was about a black circle over my head and it was just floating there over my head. What do you think it means?"

"Never mind what that means. You've got bigger fish to fry. Well not really, you are going to be late to school if you don't hurry!"

"Late? School doesn't start till 7:35!"

"SO??????"

"It's 6:00! I have plenty of time, plus now that Wendy knows, maybe we can have a get together after school one day?"

"One day? You'll have to have them every day if you want to beat Queen Diamond and her crew!"

"Queen Diamond? Who's that? All I've met have been a few people. None of them a Queen…Estrella are you hiding information from me?"

"Of course not, it's just that well, you're not completely ready for all the information I have to give you. Some day yes you will be but not now. Now you have to get up before your mother comes up here and sees a talking cat! Imagine the look on her face! It would be classic! Now GET UP!"

(I know at this point in the story Estrella seems to be acting a lot like Luna with Serena, trust me these characters could not be further from them. It's simply that Estrella wants to get Vanessa out of bed so she can get to school and fall asleep in the covers.)

Vanessa flopped out of bed onto the floor but not without hitting a certain black cat first. She then picked her self off of the floor and made her way to the bathroom while Estrella jumped into the nice cozy warm bed and drifted off into a nice slumber. (If you can't tell right now I am just a tad tired and starting to feel sick so this is what I want to do right now.)

Vanessa and Wendy were walking down the street when out from the corner of the street a girl shot out from a store. She had shocking blue hair and was running incredibly fast. She wore a short-skirted uniform and it was an ugly teal color that didn't match her hair very well. "Stop that girl!" cried the storeowner. "She's a thief!!". Vanessa and Wendy both turned to face where the girl had ran. She was far away from them now and it would be almost impossible to catch her. Vanessa turned to the nearest tree. She climbed onto the bench that was under it and began to look for something.

"What on earth are you doing? Do you really think it's wise to climb trees when we should be getting to your house to talk with Estrella?"

"I'm not climbing trees." In all truth she wasn't. "I'm just looking for…ah ha! Found one!" She turned to Wendy and pointed at the little blue jay. She turned back towards it and began to mumble something. Within seconds the bird flew from the tree in the direction of the fleeing girl.

"You really shouldn't do that in public you know. Someone could see."

"I doubt it. Besides when the bird gets the word back to us we'll know where the girl is off to and where to catch her."

"Shouldn't we be more concerned with how to save the planet again, not just some petty thief who probably only stole a few hundred dollars in jewelry? Why don't we just go pay the man instead of wasting our time and the birds effort?"

"Why, Wendy, I never thought you'd give up the chance of a good chase? What has come over you?"

"Nothing I'd just like to save people, not money."

"Now now, I do like saving people, just why not save a few bucks while we're at it?" Vanessa started to walk off in the direction the bird had flown. A grumpy Wendy followed quietly behind her.

A blaze of blue blurred past the open restaurants as the people looked on shocked. The girl who had stolen the jewelry from the stand was running down the street and into an alley. No one seemed to notice the tiny blue jay that seemed to go wherever the girl went. Or the two girls who seemed to be walking in the same direction the girl had run.

"Where are we going?" asked Wendy with annoyance in her voice. They had been following the bird for some time and seemed to get no where. Suddenly the tiny bird stopped and perched on a park bench. Vanessa looked at it then to Wendy.

"It said that she ran into an alley way but when she turned around to make sure we had followed, the girl was gone. I guess we just have to let the police figure this one out." Both Wendy and Vanessa walked through the park in the direction of Vanessa's house to start their many pounds of homework.

An angry court gathered around Diamond. In the shadows that surrounded her throne were gathered all the minions of people. Caterina stood silently in front of her awaiting her sentence. Diamond sat with eyes closed, not wanting her irritation to get the best of her but it was too late. "Caterina, more than once you have failed me," No one moved, "and I am starting to think that you are not capable of ever capturing those scouts! I have counted on you for too long! One more chance is all you have. Don't fail me again, or your fate will be worse than death." Diamond finally opened her eyes to stare at Caterina. "You have used all your own tactics, we need those amulets that the scouts posses! Each one of those amulets contain a power that will help us in our quest. Don't fail me again!"

"Yes my master." Caterina slightly lifted her hands and vanished from the chamber in a cloud of orange dust. "If I don't capture those scouts Diamond will have my head! But what can I do? Each time they seem to grow more powerful and no matter what I do, that's it!" Caterina quickly walked over to her closet and pulled out a simple outfit of an orange shirt and white pants. "They'll never know what hit them." Caterina simply smiled to herself as she pulled the shirt over her head.

Estrella walked curtly by the other cats in Vanessa's back yard. "Really now do you need all these animals?" Estrella thought. Although Vanessa could talk to them they were really a bother when one had to get into the house rather quickly. She scampered up the stairs and into her room before the door shut behind her.

"Estrella! When did you get here?" asked Vanessa.

"Now really, I thought you'd know by now, I live here! Along with all the other animals that exist along side me."

"Oh are you jealous, Estrella?" Asked Wendy, "You shouldn't be! You're our one and only kitty cat!"

"Oh please spare me, Wendy." Said Estrella with a humored voice. Wendy giggled and Vanessa turned to sit on the bed. "Any way, we need to find out how your enemies know where we are and how to get to us."

"Maybe we have a giant tracking device on our heads!" said Vanessa "Or maybe they have magic 8-ball that tells them where we are! Actually Estrella, I've been wondering as you've never really told us anything, why are these people after us anyway?"

"Well, it's somewhat of a long story but I'll try to sum it up for you. A long time ago and I mean LONG only the stars, moon and planets existed. Now a being called Queen Beryl wanted the moon kingdom and wanted to rule the universe but of course this would never come true. On the moon there lived Queen Serenity and her daughter, Princess Serena. They had a peaceful kingdom that is until Beryl attacked. Now Serena and the princesses from the planets joined together to fight this threat. For you see they were also Sailors like yourselves. But they were too weak and couldn't fight alone. Fearing the worst Queen Serenity asked Queen Lezelia, of the stars, for help. She of course said yes and powers from the stars were granted to her own sailors. Now that's where you guys come in, the powers granted from the stars were taken from the most powerful ones, the Zodiac. Your amulets were granted to the sailors for help and power. But once they had won and the powers were no longer needed, Queen Serenity wouldn't give the amulets back and was far too greedy. You then had to be put to sleep or your powers would become part of the sailors forever. Once asleep the stars became desolate and the moon became weaker again. Queen Beryl saw this and once again attacked them. Lezelia noticed this and decided to send your amulets to earth, to be reborn into you here. She didn't want the same thing to happen there to occur here on earth. That is what you are the Sailor Scouts."

"Estrella, are the moon scouts still alive?" asked Vanessa.

"I don't know, they could be but if they are one thing is for sure. They can not be trusted." All three of them looked to each other and then decided that training would wait and they would continue working on their own homework.

Caterina found herself walking long a dark alley, not quite alone. ~I need to work on my teleporting.~ she thought. She looked sharply off into the distance as a figure ran past her carrying a hand full of jewelry. ~Ohh… I could get used to this.~ She quickly took off toward the running figure until she walked into a house along the side of the street. She watched as the girl climbed the stairs inside then turned on her light. She heard a few shouts then screaming then slamming of doors. ~I guess this is not a ver happy home.~ She decided, for her plan to work she had to stay on the down low and out of trouble. She walked out of the alley and then a familiar sight caught her eye. A black cat was walking toward the house. ~Estrella, now now what are you doing here?~ She watched silently as the cat simply sat at the driveway to the house and continually looked at the windows.

~Oh come now Estrella, this is nothing but a bad idea. Why am I even here this girl is a troublemaker and has no respect for any laws. She couldn't possibly be any-~. Her train of thought ended as she spotted the girl wearing a bright orange shirt and white pants. ~Caterina~ She simply bounced off her hind legs and trotted back the direction she had come. ~Now I know I was wrong, there is something special about that girl but what?~

Caterina walked back to her closet and pulled off the orange shirt and changed back into her dress of bright orange. "I have to get to that girl before that darned cat does. But what can I do?" she walked into her bedroom and sat down at her vanity. "I can simply lure her out and trap her by using the sailors as bait! But how am I going to get them? They've out smarted my traps more than once…but" Caterina's eyes lit up with a fiery red glaze.

Estrella walked towards the same house again but in the day time now. The house was like all the others on the block only it looked darker and had a sense of pain around it. ~This can't be her. I didn't know what I was thinking.~ Estrella then caught sight of the girl with blue hair walking down the front stairs in a aqua school uniform. ~I know those colors, they're from Desert Palms but that means that she must be Jaqulen.~ Estrella continued to walk towards her to see if her form was noticeable in any way, if any memories would be stirred up. Her thoughts were right and Jaqulen remembered her from their distant past.

Wendy and Vanessa had decided that since Estrella wasn't going to join them any time soon they should start practice anyway. They started off on the techniques that Estrella wanted them to work on but then decided to go to more difficult training. They were practicing dodging attacks in the trees when they caught sight of a bright orange flash. Before they knew what had happened, Virgo had fallen to the ground with Sagittarius soon following. They both quickly got up to look for the being that had leashed out at them.

"Let's get out of the trees, that way we're sure not to be surprised again." Suggested Virgo, as they were walked towards an open clearing a tight cord shot out in front of them. "Ah" Before they knew it they both were trapped to a tree facing an empty clearing.

"What could have done this?" asked Sagittarius.

"You have to ask? I am shocked that you wouldn't remember me, Sailors. Although I will forgive you since you are in a state of pure shock." The voice was none others but Caterina's. She appeared suddenly in front of them with a smirk on her face. "I would have hoped that you would put up more of a fight for your last attempt of living but I guess this will have to do." She put both hands above her head and shot a bolt of light at both Virgo and Sagittarius. Their screams filled the air and their heads dropped down after the light disappeared.

"You won't get away with this," Sagittarius's voice was ragged, "we'll stop you. Good will always triumph!" With almost no will they both continued to struggle.

"You won't get free of my threads. No one has ever broken them." Caterina shot another blast of light at them and their struggles stopped. "You're done for!"

"Glacial Icicle!" Aquarius's attack came from behind Caterina. She turned slightly to notice the sharp looking icicle flying towards her. She disappeared from sight leaving the icicle flying towards a helpless Sagittarius and Virgo.

"NO!" Estrella then leapt toward the spinning icicle and hoped that she could do something to help her sailors.

End
(P.S. I know this is a mean way to end this chapter but I had to make Caterina's demise more than one chapter.)

Thoughts:

TODAY- "If it ain't broken don't fix it. If you broke it, blame the closet person next to you."
