Down a dark hall a girl with emerald green hair, walks silently. The hall is long and the ceiling is high. She stumbles on a long tail that is protruding from a corner. The owner growls then slips back into its slumber. She continues until she reaches a small room with a tiny light. She pulls on a chain and light fills the room. As she walks in, she has walked into the bathroom, and washes her face free from the dirt of sleep. She pulls down the towel next to her and wipes her face still half-asleep. She then walks to her mother's bedroom to make sure she is awake. As she pulls the covers from her mom, she complains that it's Saturday and they don't need to be awake. "Mom get up." Complained Vanessa.

"Vanessa! It's Saturday trust me! If it wasn't then I would have to been awake an hour ago!" she then points a finger at her alarm clock reading 6:35. "Trust me go back to sleep now! Or just leave me alone…." The last word seemed to never end as she fell back asleep.

Vanessa walked back to her room to get dressed for the day. She chose a light green sweater and long dark blue bell-bottomed pants. She walked outside and into the large out door pool area. Along the sides of the pool there were flowers of all colors and sizes. The pool was uncovered and was a beautiful aqua color. She continued until she reached the tall white gazebo in the center of the yard. She sat in the white chair as two men waked up to her offering lemonade and water. She took the water and left the lemonade. As she sat she looked over at her small orange and black-striped kitten.

She then heard a faint rustling in the bushes behind her and she turned to meet what it was. A large white blur jumped pass her knocking her to the ground. She looked for the object but it was nowhere to be found. She got back up to her feet and notice that her kitten was no longer sitting on the table but was missing. "Griffin!" she called, "Griffin!!!" She walked over to the side of the house in her continuing search for her kitten. She came to a spot that didn't look too familiar, but who could be sure? IT was a very large house and she never really got around to exploring all of it. She stopped suddenly as she saw a tall women with long red hair looking at her, holding her Griffin.

"Give me my cat!"

"Now now. Why would I do a stupid thing like that?" Her voice was ice cold and rank. Her small hands started to coil themselves around the neck of the kitten. It gave out a strangled cry.

"NO!" Vanessa jumped toward the woman hitting her to release the feline. Caught off guard, she fell to the floor. Vanessa grabbed the kitten and ran back toward the front of the house. Before she could reach the door a yellow aura was in front of her.

"Panxka! I warned you not to fail! Now look at all the work I have to do!" The voice now had a body to go with it. She was short and looked like she had just gotten in a fight with a blender, and the blender won. Her dress was a bright yellow almost gold tone. Her hair was as long as it could be, almost like it never ended. It was a series of yellows, oranges, and pale reds. She reached forward to grab Vanessa but she dodged the hand.

She continued to run until she tripped and was out of breath. She was panting thinking of what could be done to escape the odd people who were chasing her, when a black cat came into her sight. She stopped panting and looked up at the black and white feline. She was quite slender with a white 'necklace' around her neck. Her eyes were an off white and looked directly at Vanessa as if she knew what she was doing. "Hello, Vanessa. My name is Estrella and I am here to help you."

"I am sorry my majesty. I lost her." Caterina reported to Diamond. "She was very tricky and I just lost…"

"Caterina! You fool! That pesky cat has not made her aware of her former state! Go while you still have time to destroy her!" Diamonds voice was booming through the holographic projector.

"Yes majesty." Caterina cut off the connection. She turned and looked over to where Panxka had been standing. She wasn't anywhere to be found. ~If I don't get that amulet I'll be on the Queen's bad side, not somewhere where I wish to be. ~ "Panxka! Come forth!" A quick shimmer of orange appeared and Panxka steeped forward.

"Yes my master?" Her voice shook for she knew what was going to be asked of her. She walked forward looking directly at Caterina.

"We have a job to do."

"So you see," finished Estrella, "you are very special." She looked back up to the shaken girl. She blinked, looked at the cat and laughed. "Now, now what's so funny?"

"You've been saying that I am special for the last 5 minutes, but you never mentioned why I am special. I just find that rather funny." Vanessa smiled and looked back at the cat. "So are you going to tell me why I'm special?"

"Why yes now just sit and listen to…". Three trees shatter nearby with the dust from the crash blinding and choking Estrella and Vanessa. "What in the stars?"

"Go Panxka! Attack the girl and leave the cat, NOW!" Panxka jumped toward Vanessa. Just as she was close enough to do any damage Estrella jumped up and separated Panxka from Vanessa. "Ah. I remember you now. Estrella is it? Yes I remember you now. Panxka, get rid of both of them!" She leapt at the cat grabbing it by the tail and hind legs. No sooner had she been grabbed than Estrella bit the hands of Panxka. She screamed in pain and threw the cat to the ground.

"Vanessa run!" prompted Estrella. They both took off in the direction they had came. Estrella stopped suddenly and looked up at Vanessa. She saw that she was not frightened but determined that she would not be taken willingly. ~Maybe this girl is special? All my life I have made sure that the Negaverse never gained any ground here. They must think this girl to be something strong.~ Vanessa notice that Estrella had stopped and walked back to her.

"What's wrong Estrella?" Vanessa stared down at the puzzled looking cat. The tiny kitten she was holding yawned, she had forgotten she was holding anything. She released it and it trudged back into the house to resume its sleep. She knelt by the older cat and wondered what would happen next.

"When I was first talking to you, why didn't you become scared? It's not everyday a cat comes along and talks human."

"I don't know. I've always been able to understand and communicate with animals so I just assumed you were talking 'cat' if you would."

"Well aside from that, you are very special Vanessa. Those people were after you because you hold in you an amulet of great power. There are powerful amulets on Earth that posses the powers of the Zodiac. You are a bearer of Sagittarius, one of the twelve amulets. As a bearer you need to protect yourself and the other amulets, to do this you have the ability to transform yourself into a soldier for peace and justice. You have the power to transform into Sailor Sagittarius defender of peace." Estrella looked into Vanessa's hands as she spoke.

Vanessa looked down at her hands after feeling something in them. A small gray compact was in her hands with the symbol of Sagittarius on it. Around it were gems of purple, blue, white, and black. She held up the small thing and started to shake. "So your saying I have to fight people?"

"Well, yes that is the general idea. Just hold it straight out and call out, 'Sagittarius Crystal Transform'. That will change you into what you need to be." She nuzzled against her shaking hand as to help her along. ~I wonder, I hope I am doing the right thing in awakening you, Sagittarius.~

"Well if that is what I must do, Sagittarius Crystal Transform!" Vanessa held out the small compact straight in front of her. It then disappeared into two stars. The stars traveled down to her feat and criss-crossed up her body with her uniform appearing in their trails. The two stars then stopped at her bow and became the green amulet that shone within it. Her tiara then appeared and she opened her eyes to signal the end of the transformation. She stood in awe for a brief moment. She looked down at her tall boots and short skirt. ~What happened? Can this be real? Wow I bet I look so cool!~ She then remembered why she had transformed, and turned just in time to see Panxka rushing towards her with both hands out and claws showing. Sagittarius moved but not fast enough. "Ah! My arm!" she looked down at her bleeding arm. The cut was from one side of her arm to the other. It hurt but she would live.

"So you're one of the legendary Senshi, right? You're supposed to have an amulet? HA! You weak little twit. You'll be on a platter when I'm done with you!

Sagittarius stood at these words and looked directly at Panxka. "Now will that be before or after I send you back to your creator? I am Sailor Sagittarius, defender of peace and truth and on behalf of all the stars you will be banished!" ~I hope I don't regret this.~ Panxka leapt at her again but Sagittarius was ready. She dodged the claws and Panxka fell to the floor.

"Sagittarius!" Estrella called, "Use your bow! Call out Serpents Kiss and shoot your bow!"

~What good will calling out something do?~ She again dodged another attack. ~Oh well, it will be better than what I'm doing now.~ "Serpent's Kiss!" Sagittarius put both hands up and acted as though she had a bow in her hands when one appeared. She looked in shock as the black feathered bow held an arrow made of brown wood and a sharp slender point. She pulled back and let it fly. The arrow flew toward Panxka with great speed. Before hitting her, the arrow changed into a great green snake and coiled itself around her. It sank its fangs into her neck and then feel to the ground in the form of an arrow.

"I'll get you for this!" cried Panxka before hitting the floor with a thud. Sagittarius stood and walked toward her when she vanished in a puff of reds and oranges. ~What?~

"So I see you've defeated my Panxka. No matter. Soon you will fall and we shall rule!" cried a voice from the darkness.

Sagittarius walked back to Estrella and sat back down. "So how was that?"

"Very well done, for your first battle. Soon you will get better and you won't get hurt every time." Estrella said motioning to her bleeding arm. They both stood and walked back toward the house.

" Estrella, I can't let my mom see me like this!"

"Don't worry. You'll de-transform soon and your mother will know nothing of my being here." Estrella looked up at Sagittarius who was looked straight ahead.

"I hope so. Well I guess this is goodbye?"

"You wont' get rid of me that easily. I'll stay here always and watch over you. You'll never be alone."

"Thank you, Estrella."
