About Us
We are Rod and Raisa Dayton we live in Kelso, Washington. Raisa is from the Ukraine where she raised her line of black Pekingese for many years and had to give them up to move to America. Together we decided to get back into showing and breeding. Rod comes from a family that showed and bred toy poodles at their kennel from the early 50's to the late 60's. We have just been showing for the past few years. As we breed to improve our line and as we produce show quality puppies for the ring we will occasionally have puppies (spayed/neutered) available to qualified homes. Show quality puppies occasionally available to select show homes. if you are interested in a show prospect puppy or a nice pet companion, please email us for details. Northwind Pekingese is dedicated to producing Champion quality Pekingese. Our Pekingese are healthy and sound with excellent temperaments. We breed for quality not quantity. All puppies produced by Northwind Pekingese are happy, healthy, raised in our home, and well socialized. Because of our strong belief in responsible breeding ethics, we will not sell a Peke puppy younger than 12 weeks of age, at which time they are fully weaned, properly socialized, vaccinated, dewormed.Please feel free to contact us in regards to upcoming litters, available puppies and spayed/neutered adults. We will also help put you in touch with other breeders in your area or rescue groups if you are interested in adopting a needy Pekingese. Because of our love and concern for the welfare of our puppies and this Breed we do not sell to puppy mills, backyard breeders, pet stores or brokers. Shipping is available throughout the United States and Canada for $300 via Continental Airlines PetSafe Program. We will not ship puppies before they are at least 10-12 weeks old to ship and will be health checked by a licensed vet before leaving so that a Health Certificate can be issued as required by the airlines. We also can make accommodations if you wish to pick your puppy up in person and fly back with it under your seat, just let us know in advance. We will be happy to work with you on getting your new bundle of joy back home safe and sound.
