Fish On was the cry !!!!

Hi,

Welcome to V4.53 of our home page, we are Allan & Rita Bannister and we live in King City, Ontario, Canada (Just North Of Toronto) and our interests and hobbies are quite wide and varied, although most have their roots in nature in one form or another. We are both keen anglers and enjoy nothing better on a warm sunny day, and believe me we get plenty of them in Canada, than sitting on the banks of a lake miles from anywhere just fishing and listening to bird songs and watching the butterflies going about there daily chores.

Fish On !

The first time I heard this wonderful cry was whilst out fishing on the Ganaraska River in Ontario, Canada on the opening day of the Trout Fishing season. As soon as an angler had hooked into a fish he would shout "Fish On" and would then expect to be given the right of way with his fish. The shear numbers of anglers fishing shoulder to shoulder made for a fun time once you had hooked into a nice big fighting fish. All other anglers would recover their lines from the river to give the lucky sod who cried "Fish On" a chance to land his prize catch.

If you are as lucky as I was that day you would have thought I had lost my voice!!

We have had a little more luck since then.
