AMERICAN MOOKEE ASSOCIATION
The American Mookee
Association was established in 1988 and was charted by the National Pigeon Associaton to
promote the breeding, exhibition and improvement of the Mookee Pigeon. The Mookee
originating in India is a perfect show bird with many show qualities. The Mookee is small
in size, attractive has a jaunty form, and beautiful head markings. The Mookee is
radically different than most pigeon breeds. And the Mookee comes in a wide varity of
colors. Combing these traits along with being a very prolific breeder produces the FINEST
OF ALL SHOW PIGEONS. Levi writes "The Birds proved to be among
the most charming I have ever raised. In addition to their small size, daintiness,
pleasing body lines, and tremulous neck, they showed unusal friendliness and confidence in
their breeder. They do two things which I have never seen other breeds do. They tug at
one's trouser cuffs and chase mice."
