Standard of Perfection

Head 15 Points

Head....Rather flat, narrow, somewhat long with no frontal or angular shapes. Gracefully blending with the peak and head.
Eye....Bull. Placed centrally between with of point of peak and wattle.
Eye cere.... Small as possible, fine textured and according to color of bird.

Beak and Wattle 10 Points

Beak...Strait set, close fitting, length in proportion with the head line between manibles if extended to pass iris of eye. Upper mandible white, lower black in blue&black, and mealy marked birds. All brown, red, and dilute marked mandible will be horned color.
Wattle....Small, neat, fine in texture, close fitting.

Body 15 Points

Slender, wing butts concealed [refined], well-rounded breast, small Cocks to weigh 13 oz to 14 oz. Hens to weigh 12 oz to 13 oz.

Carriage 15 Points

Sprightly, bold, and jaunty. Body carried upright with neck well arched with extreme tremulous motion. Bird to walk on toes, not flat footed. Should stand so the back line forms between a 35% and 45% angle with the ground.

Peak 5 Points

Pointed , with the peak higher than head, showing no signs of a shell crest, should be upright and central, rising above a well defined arched mane and as high as possible with length of feathers to form a full mane.

Head Markings 15 Points

The Ideal marked Mookee should be a solid colored bird except for the head that should be white, the dividing line between the head and colored body should run from the point where the upper and lower mandible meet and extend back passing and touching the bottom of the eye cere and stopping at the base of the peak. There should be no white below this line or no color above it.

Color 10 Points

All colors and patterns recognized. Color to be sound, rich lustrous throughout. Selfs [solid marked] Mookees to have 15 point cut because lack of head markings.

Legs 2 Points

Medium [to medium short] in length in proportion to size of bird, a long legged appearance is objectionable, but on the other hand, ducky legs are to be avoided as well. Legs must be of sufficient length to carry 35% to 45% back angle. Hocks should blend smoothly into the body. Legs should be red in texture. Legs to be free of grousing.

Tail 3 Points

Narrow in width and extended approximately one half inch from the end of the flight feathers when bird is walking. Tail to be carried about one half inch off ground.
