Thank you for visiting the web pages of the Long Island Horsemen's Society. We are a non profit organization whose main directive is to aid in preserving the equestrina lifestyle, and to make sure that ALL horses and members benefit from our orgainization. Our club meetings are held at 8 pm the second Monday of the month at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank, NY.Everyone is encouraged to attend. Please feel free to leave a message in our guest book below, and as one of the greatest show announcers around always says "THANKS FOR FLYING LIHS!!"

We are APHA PAC point approved for English and Western Owner/exhibitors. The link to APHA is located on our Links page, where you will find all the neccessary information to participate in this program.
We are also AHA OEIP approved, so all you Arabian people can participate in their program as well.

Extra special thanks to Rose Ott for getting my hindquarters in gear and getting this site up and running ( BRAVO !!!!!! "runs like heck") !!!.......through the laughter, frustrations, head scratching, desperate emails, and CARP !!!! ( especially when the main page crashed !!! and I was a panicking mare caught in my own blanket with NO leg straps !!) I thank you..... and it was FUN !!!! Still working on the snowflakes, though Rose, I'll let you know when I get it working....maybe by next Christmas !!!

You know when you're a horse person when your boyfriend complains that you love your horse more then you love him and you answer: "And your point is?"
You know you're a horse person when your husband does something nice for you and you say "good boy" and pat him on the neck.
You also know your a horse person when your trying to get by a co-worker in a restricted space and instead of saying "excuse me" to him/her, you cluck at them instead. :)
