RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

I have a poem written by Page Belland in Memory of her Dobie/dane and I would like to share it with you.I don`t think it could be put better than the way Page put it.As Pet lovers we know her hurt.

SOME ANGELS HAVE FUR

"Motley"

I always thought that angels have wings, Are there to protect us from harmful things, Were sent here by God to show us His love, And hovered somewhere nearby, up above.

It came one day that I needed a friend. I asked God, "Please, is there one You will send?" He surely did answer when you showed up, A warm, furry body: a black and tan pup!

Soulful eyes always watching my every move, My love for you I did not have to prove. Although some feared you because of your might, In private I called you "my sweetness and light".

You walked with me for many years, Were there for me during times of tears. Protected me when I needed it, Gave me all your love and never quit.

My faithful friend you will always be,But nothing can keep us from destiny. God gave you to me for a little while, But now we must walk that final mile.

Memories of you I will always keep In my heart of hearts so very deep. I'll try to be brave: you'd want me to, Go on with my life, there's things to do.

But one thing's for certain, of this I am sure, God sent me an angel whose heart was so pure, To watch over, protect me, and show me His love, Who remains with me still, now with God up above.

In memory of Motley, my "sweetness and light" dobie/dane girl, who I was privileged to share my life with for 13 ½ years.

Thank you Page !!!!
