The story of Pride and Prejudice explores the different types of relationships, the positives and negatives of those relationships, and how they develop. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are the only two to have a relationship based on true love. The road to their love is a rough one filled with many obstacles that they are forced to overcome. Jane Bennet and Mr. Bingley are true to each other, but certain circumstances pull them apart. Lydia Bennet and Mr. Wickham obey their passions as they form a relationship based on infatuations. Mr. Collins and Charlotte Lucas settle down together with a love based on what they can offer each other. The novel explores these various relationships and how pride and prejudice can interfere. |
