66 Dart Fuel Cell and Trunk

The following pictures detail the installation of a fuel cell in the trunk of the 66. I originally planned on utilizing the spare tire well but the amount of fabrication to get a "square peg into a round hole" would have been too involved so I decided to remove it completely and replace it with a fabricated "box."

Trunk pan before cutting. I'll have to take a look at what the convertibles pan looks like. This one might replace it if it's in pretty bad shape.

My wife cutting out the spare tire well. Looks like she did a pretty good job!

Mock up of the new trunk box for the fuel cell.

I made the bottom of the fuel cell out of 16 ga. (I know, a little heavy) and the sides out of 20 ga.
