Habitat/Range

The range that snow leopards cover is about 2 million square kilometers. This means that their range span is from Russia, Afghanistan, and Kazakhstan in the northwest to India and China from the east. China contains as much as 60% of snow leopard’s habitat. And snow leopards are usually found in altitudes between 9800 and 17,000 feet in high rugged mountains of Central Asia. And they also have already disappeared from certain parts of Mongolia, which is part of their historic range.
