MY DOG DIED TODAY

My dog died today Lord

I’m sure you do know

Why did he have to die Lord

When everyone loved him so

Was there a reason we should know Lord

If so, please tell me, I don’t understand

He was such a good dog Lord

I loved him so much, so did every man

I know he’s in heaven with you Lord

He took that scared ride

Take care of him Lord

Don’t let him see the darker side

MY DOG FRISKY

How can you say no

To a dog who loves you so

He looks at you as if to say

Would you like to come and play

How can you hate him when

He has nothing but love to send

When you look into his eyes

It’s then you realize

That all he wants is your love

Now he has gone up above

I will always miss him it’s true

Especially the way his eyes say I love you

HOW MUCH MORE LORD

Dear Lord hear my prayer

Help me out of this despair

I ask that You lift me up

I ask that You fill my cup

I have endured so much

I ask for Your gentle touch

Guide me to the way I must tread

Give me this day my daily bread

I seek for a better life

I ask You to relieve me this strife

Lord please help me to move on again

Help me in this life to win

I know You are the One to call

I know You are above all

I love You Lord more than words can say

I need You Lord everyday

So Lord please help me as only You can

Speak to my fellow man

The world need to learn of caring

People need to relearn about sharing

You saved someone precious and dear

You have dried many a tear

Lord I make this humble plea

Let others see You in me

Lord grant me relief from all this pain

Allow me to be free again

Lord I ask for me and mine

Not my will but Yours be thine

A TRIBUTE TO GEISINGER

I want the best for my children as I know you do
So when you need a hospital, here's where you go to
Go to Geisinger, that's the place to be
They'll take good care of your kids, take it from me

The other hospitals around, I guess are okay
But, I think Geisinger is the best to this day

In May of 96 my children I thought had the flu

My 9 yr. old daughter and and my 16 yr.old son too

They have meningitis, that's what the doctor said
This is something that any parent would dread
My daughter was critically ill
But, my son was even sicker still

His health deteriorated before my eyes
Quicker than anyone could realize
The doctors had tried everything they can
Sometimes things happen that we don't understand

On the 5th of May our son died
Everyone offered me comfort as I cried

As my daughter laid in the hospital for days

Everyone there helped in so many ways

Doctors and nurses there are the best I've met
What they've done for me and my kids I'll never forget
Because of them my daughter is better now
Thanks to God for giving them the know-how

You'll never find a better place anywhere
With so many folks that really do care
I urge all parents who have a sick kid
Don't hesitate to do what I did

Take them to Geisigner, where the blessings never ends
For they are more than great healers, they are my friends

Because of all that Geisigner has done

I am committed to help with the telethon

I like for everyone to please help too
The Children's Miracle Network really does need you
I know it works and that's the truth
I have my daughter has living proof

When I think of everything I've been through
I'd just like to say to Geisinger "Thank You"
For being there for my children and carin'
For having the wisdom and talents to save my Sharron

Remembering Dad

I remember sitting on your lap as the Bible was read

I remember kissing your cheek as we headed off to bed

I remember sitting in the pew listening to you preach

I remember your voice when you had a lesson to teach

I remember at the dinner table I always sat next to you

I remember the Black Eye Peas that you liked too

I remember going to many events at Washington D.C

I remember the many places we camped all across the Country

I remember seeing you preach, teach and coaching football

I remember you enforcing the rules, saw that we obeyed them all

I remember when children came to visit, you'd place them on your knee

I remember them picking your pocket of whatever they could see

I remember when we had questions, your answers were very clear

I remember your many words of wisdom, we all wanted to hear

There are so many things I remember, that are forever in my memory

I will remember these moments for they are so dear to me

I wrote this poem to share the all things I think and feel

I know deep in my heart your love for us was real

Yes I remember all the things that you would say & do

Most of all Dad I'll always remember you
