WAITING FOR LOVE
I’ve searched my heart and soul
Seeking the truth inside
Part of me wants to lose control
And live my life in stride
For too long I’ve settled for less
Never giving love a chance to grow
My life had become a mess

The journey is exciting and strange

BEING LONELY
What is it like to be alone
With no cash, no car and no phone
To be separate from mankind
Isolation and sorrow is all you find
With food love and a house that’s cold
You’d give anything for someone to hold
You wake up alone everyday
You hate living this way
To have meals just for one
Solitare gets less and less fun
You feel like the only person on earth
You begin to question your worth
You try to find something to do
You pray to have someone to talk to
It hurts to think no one knows your there
You have so much love you want to share
The loneliness makes you cry
With a heavy heart you sigh

ANOTHER DAY ALONE
I wake up each morning in bed
Another day alone to dread
Reluctantly I start to rise
Another day alone to despise
Making meals only for one
Another day alone has begun
No money, no car to go anywhere
Another day alone, is anyone there
No visitors come to the door
Another day alone like before
No tv, no one to talk to
Another day alone, nothing new
Why does it have to be this way
Another day alone night and day
Does anyone know I’m here
Another day alone crying another tear
I don’t get dressed why bother
Another day alone like any other
I pray to the Lord every night

A BROKEN HEART
We shared a house but not a home
Here I am all alone
You’re upstairs I’m down
You don’t seem to notice I’m around
Each day goes by with little said
Each night is a separate bed
Talk becomes about the weather
No longer are we together
Each day seems to be so long
I’ve tried all I can to stay strong
Days out of your arms and being kissed
Do you know I even exist
I’ve tried all I can
How this distance hurts me each day
And yet you get further away
I loved you right from the start
Why do you break my heart
I had given all my heart to you
Only to have it broke in two
Is it possible you can’t really see
How much you hurt me
That I cried for you each night
How many walls was I to fight
Love is giving of yourself
Not putting your feelings on a shelf
I too have been hurt in my life
I’ve had pain and strife
I’m not asking for much
Just words of love and your touch
Too many hours alone I spend
This emptiness has to end
The pain has gone to long now

You wake me with a tender kiss
Saying good morning when I open my eyes
Running your fingers through my hair
Your smile is the first I see
There’s nothing better than this
Making love before we rise
It makes the morning special and rare
This is how mornings should be
As I go through my busy day
I often think of you
It makes my day not so bad
You’re the reason why
I’m back home to hear you say
You thought of me too
Hearing this makes me glad
We kiss each other hi
Now we’re back where we belong
And soon the evening falls
Now we leave the world behind
We sit and turn down the light

How could I have not seen just how amazing you are
Here I found the one shining star
