My parents Ernest Wayne Ryder and Joanne Ethel LeFebvre were married April 29, 19?? at St. Luke's Cathedral in Portland Maine.
I was born at 12:30am on Saturday, the 15th of August, 1970 in Portland Maine. I weighed 8lbs and 1oz. I was named after my Great Uncle, Great Grandfather, and Great Great Grandfather Martin Beekler. I am the youngest of four. Marla Joanne Ryder, Mark Ernest Ryder, and Margo Mae Ryder are my siblings.
I received Holy Baptism February 21, 1971 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Cape Elizabeth. My cousins Garrett and Charles Lefebvre also received Baptism, and my Godparents were my Uncle, Cmdr. Edward Joseph Lefebvre and my Aunt, Marianne Lefebvre(Preibi).
On Easter Eve of 1993 I received Holy Confirmation at St. Luke's Cathedral in Portland, Maine. My mother was my sponsor. My future wife Catherine was also received into the Episcopall Church that evening. The Church recognized her Holy Confirmation in the Catholic Church. I became a member of St. Lukes in 1990.
Cathy and I were married on December 30, 1995. My brother Mark was my best man.
I became a husband and a stepfather. I have two step daughters, Shannah Leigh Gallagher and Alanna Mehgan Gallagher, and a step son Colin Timothy Gallagher.
On July 17, 1996 Brenna Aileen Ryder was born. Brenna is the joy of my life, and I never imagined how much I would enjoy being a Daddy. Brenna is named after my "Grandma" Aileen who was like a Grandmother to me. Dawn Aileen Steele (Allen) was never able to have children of her own. She passed away on September 25, 1993. Aileen and her two sisters(The Allen Sisters) made records and were very popular with Boston and New York City audiences. Brenna has already been on stage with her Daddy three times, and will most likely share a love of music with her "Great Gramma" Aileen.
