Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Jr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Peter Whitman, 6-3 Sr. Blake Scott, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Johnson. Franklin County coach Tony Wise countered with 6-3 Jr. Cayman Hubbard, 6-2 Jr. Walker Lee, 6-5 Sr. Anthony Valentine, 5-9 So. Diablo Stewart, and 6-1 So. Kyle Stivers.
Lexington Catholic defeated Franklin County by a score of 79-52. Lexington Catholic shot 47.4% from the field including 10 of 24 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 19 Franklin County turnovers. Franklin County shot 42.1% from the field including four of 11 from beyond the arc. The Flyers connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Zan Payne led six Lexington Catholic players in double figures with 13 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds. Peter Whitman added 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots. Luke Johnson recorded 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, and seven steals. 5-11 Jr. Keegan Bailey also scored 11 points including three three point baskets. 5-9 So. Javen Hardin chipped in with 11 points including two three point baskets. Blake Scott added 10 points including two three point baskets.
Diablo Stewart led Franklin County with 14 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists. Anthony Valentine added 10 points and six rebounds. Kyle Stivers also scored 10 points including two three point baskets. Walker Lee pulled down seven rebounds.
