Eastern Kentucky University coach Dan McHale started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Zach Charles, 6-4 Sr. Jaylen Babb-Harrison, 6-9 So. Nick Mayo, 5-11 Fr. Asante Gist, and 6-2 Sr. Isaac McGlone.  Georgia State University coach Ron Hunter countered with 6-8 Sr. Jeremy Hollowell, 6-5 So. Jeff Thomas, 6-8 Sr. Willie Clayton, 6-0 Sr. Isaiah Dennis, and 6-3 Fr. D’Marcus Simonds.

Georgia State defeated Eastern Kentucky University by a score of 82-65.  Georgia State shot 52.6% from the field including nine of 18 from the three point line.  They connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Georgia State held a 44-6 advantage in bench scoring.  Eastern Kentucky shot 33.3% from the field including six of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Georgia State turnovers.

6-1 Jr. Isaiah Williams led Georgia State with 18 points including two three point baskets.  6-3 Sr. Justin Seymour added 15 points on five three point baskets.  6-5 So. Malik Benlevi chipped in with 11 points and four rebounds.  Willie Clayton recorded nine points and 15 rebounds.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky University with 21 points and six rebounds.  Asante Gist added 16 points and five assists.  Zach Charles recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Jaylen Babb-Harrison chipped in with nine points and six rebounds.
