Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings started the following lineup: 5-8 Fr. Lindsey Duvall, 5-9 Sr. Courtney Pfister, 5-9 Sr. Mackenzie Bass, 5-4 Sr. Emily Fryman, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor Blain. Sacred Heart Academy Donna Moir countered with 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-10 So. Lydia Taylor, 5-5 Sr. Vanessa Baisas, and 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel.
Sacred Heart led 55-53 after three quarters and pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Bullitt East by a score of 79-68. The score was tied 11 times and there were nine ties in this game. Sacred Heart shot 56.4% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 15 Bullitt East turnovers. Bullitt East shot 41.4% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Chargers connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Raven Merriweather led Sacred Heart with 20 points, six rebounds, and five assists. DaiJia Ruffin added 19 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. Gretchen Samsel recorded 17 points including three three point baskets.
Lindsey Duvall led Bullitt East with 28 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. 5-10 Fr. Raegan Williams added 12 points and five rebounds. Courtney Pfister recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds.
