Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Ross Jenkins, 6-4 Sr. Lance Blakley, 6-9 Sr. Jackson Davis, 5-10 So. Harrison Lane, and 6-1 Jr. Lucky Jackson. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-6 Sr. Jordan Green, 5-10 Sr. Eric Ledford, 6-3 Jr. Jeremiah Tisdale, 5-9 Sr. Campbell Setzer, and 5-9 Sr. Foster Porter.
Henry Clay did not have an answer for Lafayette’s Jackson Davis tonight as he torched the Blue Devils for 42 points and 17 rebounds in an 84-69 victory. Lafayette shot 47% from the field including six of 18 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 Henry Clay turnovers. Lafayette attempted 22 more shots (66-44) from the field than Henry Clay. Henry Clay shot 52.3% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 42 points including four three point baskets, 17 rebounds, and three steals. Lucky Jackson added 10 points.
Jordan Green led Henry Clay with 17 points. Jeremiah Tisdale added 15 points and five rebounds. Eric Ledford chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets. Colby Barnes pulled down nine rebounds.
