Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Ross Jenkins, 6-4 Sr. Lance Blakley, 6-9 Sr. Jackson Davis, 5-11 So. Harrison Lane, and 5-11 Sr. Dequise Robinson. Trinity coach Mike Szabo countered with 6-3 Sr. Craig Owens, 6-4 Jr. Daniel Ramser, 6-10 Jr. Raymond Spalding, 5-10 Sr. Trey Ivory, and 6-2 Jr. Michael Stafford.
Trinity trailed 29-28 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat Lafayette by a score of 65-54. There were seven lead changes and two ties in this game. Trinity shot 49.1% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Shamrocks connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 39.6% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Trinity turnovers.
Raymond Spalding led Trinity with 22 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four blocked shots, and three steals. 6-5 Jr. Jax Levitch added 13 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. Daniel Ramser also scored 13 points including three three point baskets.
Jackson Davis led Lafayette with 27 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Dequise Robinson added 11 points including three three point baskets.
