Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Johnson, 6-1 Sr. DeMarcus George, 6-4 Jr. Sam Jones, 5-10 Jr. Kirkland Humphrey, and 6-2 So. Cameron Thomas. Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Walker Boothe, 6-2 Jr. Reese Ryan, 6-7 Sr. Robert Dence, 5-10 So. Donovan Morris, and 6-5 Jr. Tanner Johnson. (Note: 5-10 Jr. Michael Talbott and 6-2 Jr. Jarod Griffin were unavailable tonight for Lexington Catholic).
Madison Central defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 71-64. There were eight lead changes and five ties in this game. Madison Central shot 46% from the field including two of six from the three point line. The Indians connected on 23 of 29 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 33.9% from the field including four of 24 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 22 of 25 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Madison Central turnovers.
Isaiah Johnson led Madison Central with 25 points including eight of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and four blocked shots. Cameron Thomas added 13 points including nine of 10 free throws, nine rebounds, and seven assists. 5-9 Sr. Coty Alexander chipped in with 12 points and DeMarcus George recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.
Tanner Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 18 points including 10 of 11 free throws and seven rebounds. Reese Ryan added 14 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Robert Dence recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds.
