Christian Academy of Louisville coach Don Rice started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Brittany Mumford, 5-6 Fr. Emma Wesley, 6-0 Sr. McKenzie Campbell, 5-6 Fr. Summer Conti, and 5-6 Sr. Lindsey Dunn. Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-9 Sr. DaiJia Ruffin, 5-6 Sr. Raven Merriweather, 5-10 So. Lydia Taylor, 5-4 Jr. Gretchen Samsel, and 5-7 So. Meghan Colley.
Sacred Heart Academy defeated Christian Academy by a score of 79-62. Sacred Heart shot 58.2% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 15 CAL turnovers. CAL shot 41.7% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc. The Lady Centurions connected on five of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Sacred Heart turnovers.
Gretchen Samsel led Sacred Heart with 19 points including four three point baskets and five assists. Raven Merriweather added 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three blocked shots. DaiJia Ruffin recorded 18 points, six rebounds, and six assists. 5-4 Jr. Ashley Johnson chipped in with nine points.
Brittany Munford led CAL with 24 points including three three point baskets and 14 rebounds. Emma Wesley added 22 points including three three point baskets.
