Holmes coach Jason Booher started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Chris Englemon, 6-1 Sr. B.J. Coston, 6-4 Jr. Quinton Chames, 5-10 Sr. Daquan Palmer, and 5-11 So. James Bolden.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 Sr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. Daniel Parke, 6-4 Sr. Hunter Stocker, 5-11 Sr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Sr. Dominique Hawkins.

Madison Central captured a 65-61 overtime thriller over Holmes.  There were five ties and six lead changes in the game.  Madison Central held a 52-47 lead late in regulation but James “Beetle” Bolden nailed a three pointer with 40 seconds and two free throws with 10 seconds left in the game to knot the score at 52-52 and force overtime.  Dominique Hawkins scored all 14 of Madison Central’s points in the final quarter.  Madison Central outscored Holmes 13-9 in overtime to earn the victory.

Madison Central shot 33.9% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Holmes turnovers.  Holmes shot 37.8% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 21 of 30 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored three points off two Madison Central turnovers.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 31 points and 12 rebounds.  Ken-Jah Bosley added 23 points and five steals. 

James Bolden led Holmes with 29 points including five three point baskets and 13 rebounds.  Quinton Chames added nine points and eight rebounds.  B.J. Coston and Daquan Palmer also scored nine points each.
