Franklin County coach Joey Thacker started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Angela Wickman, 5-5 Sr. Raven Timmons, 5-9 Fr. Malaka Frank, 5-4 Jr. Nannilena White, and 5-8 Fr. Dasia Kilbourne. Bryan Station coach Donna Murphy countered with 5-10 Jr. Victoria McCoy, 5-8 Sr. DeShante Clay, 6-1 Sr. Hallie Crumbie, 5-6 Sr. Labianca Frazier, and 5-8 Sr. Serena Sandusky.
Franklin County outscored Bryan Station 21-13 in the final quarter to earn a 56-51 victory. Less was more for the victorious Lady Flyers as they attempted 32 less shots (67-35) from the field than Bryan Station but outshot the Lady Defenders 51.4% to 29.9%. Both teams were relatively anemic from the free throw line with Franklin County connecting on 18 of 32 (56.3%) and Bryan Station going 11 of 24 (45.8%). Bryan Station also lost three players via the foul route; DeShante Clay, Hallie Crumbie, and Lakeysha Stennis.
Franklin County shot 51.4% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Lady Flyers connected on 18 of 32 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 29.9% from the field including zero of eight from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on 11 of 24 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Franklin County turnovers.
Malaka Frank led a balanced Franklin County attack with 13 points. Nannilena White added 12 points, five rebounds, and seven assists. Raven Timmons chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds. Dasia Kilbourne added nine points.
Serena Sandusky led Bryan Station with 14 points. 5-9 Jr. Lakeysha Stennis added 12 points and seven rebounds. DeShante Clay chipped in with eight points and 11 rebounds. Victoria McCoy added eight points and five rebounds. Hallie Crumbie pulled down eight rebounds.
