Garrard County coach Dennis Pardue started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Jesse Ray, 6-2 Sr. Billy Abney, 6-1 Jr. Clayton Ray, 6-0 Fr. Slade Crutchfield, and 6-3 Jr. Austin Sebastian.  Sayre coach Ted Hall countered with 6-3 So. Quinn Pergande, 6-1 Jr. Martin Durmov, 6-3 Jr. Henry Wolf, 5-9 Sr. Ben Davis, and 6-0 Jr. Justin Sanders.

Garrard County captured a close 50-46 decision over Sayre tonight.  The score was tied four times and there were six lead changes.  Garrard County shot 40% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Golden Lions connected on 12 of 23 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Sayre turnovers.  Sayre shot 40% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Spartans connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Garrard County turnovers.

Clayton Ray led Garrard County with 17 points and five rebounds.  Slade Crutchfield added eight points.

Justin Sanders led Sayre with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Martin Durmov added eight points and seven rebounds.  Quinn Pergande recorded seven points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots.
