Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Tamron Manning, 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Ivey, 6-4 Jr. Tanner Shotwell, 5-11 So. Quin Richardson, and 6-0 Sr. Trey Relford. Clark County coach Scott Humphrey countered with 6-9 Sr. Vinny Zollo, 6-4 Sr. Robbie Stenzel, 6-4 Sr. Corey Rogers, 5-9 Sr. Hakeem Moore, and 6-1 Jr. Bopper Stenzel.
Clark County scored an impressive 79-62 victory over a always tough Scott County team tonight. Clark County took a 21-11 first quarter lead, weathered a third quarter rally and finished strong down the stretch. Clark County utilized their inside strength to hold a decided advantage on the boards.
Clark County shot 57.4% from the field including one of eight from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 38.5% from the field including two of 18 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 19 Clark County turnovers.
Corey Rogers led the victors with 29 points. Rogers was 12 pf 20 from the field and five of six from the free throw line. 6-7 Sr. Jaylen Daniel added 19 points and Robbie Stenzel chipped in with 14 points. Vinny Zollo recorded 10 points and 17 rebounds.
Tamron Manning led Scott County with 19 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Isaiah Ivey also recorded 19 points. Tanner Shotwell also reached double figures with 10 points.
