East Jessamine coach Chris O’Bryan started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Andrew Brockman, 6-0 Jr. Cody Collins, 6-3 Sr. Jordan Redd, 5-11 Jr. Michael Rexroat, and 6-0 Jr. Cameron Thomas. West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley countered with 6-2 Sr. Brandon Hager, 6-3 So. Chase Fain, 6-5 Jr. Sean Donaldson, 5-9 Sr. Cameron Watts, and 5-11 Fr. Will Henderson.
Cameron Thomas hit a free throw with six seconds remaining in the game to give East Jessamine a 65-64 victory over West Jessamine in tonight’s “Battle of Jessamine County”. East Jessamine shot 50% from the field including seven of 11 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on 12 of 24 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 West Jessamine turnovers. West Jessamine shot 45.3% from the field including two of eight from beyond the arc. The Colts connected on 14 of 24 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 East Jessamine turnovers.
Jordan Redd led East Jessamine with 19 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals. Michael Rexroat and Cameron Thomas added 12 and 10 points respectively.
6-4 Sr. Dylan Pohl led West Jessamine with 23 points and 12 rebounds. 5-8 Sr. David Martin added 11 points and six rebounds. Chase Fain recorded nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists.
