Led by Bishop Susan Foreman, the Order worships the Doctor. Or do they? When the Doctor and Wil unwittingly arrive at their cathedral on the planet Delta, they quickly find themselves emershed in a mesh of deceit and treachery the like of which has rarely being known.

Who is Darok, and why are the Order hunting him? To what end does the mysterious Della plot? And why has the Doctor run into TWO psychics?

From revolutionary China to the Earth Empire of the far future, and then to 20th century England, Wil and the Doctor try, frantically, to understand the insane plans of the Order.

And things may be a whole lot deeper than they think...
