Loretta Myers-Bass, Bob Wright-Guitar, Lou De Mayo-Mandolin, Rich Rainey-Banjo |
Risky Business is a unique and entertaining blend of bluegrass, country and folk music. These four musicians have produced such albums as "Risky Business Bluegrass Band" (1989), "Business As Usual" (1992) and Business Is Looking Up" (1995) demonstrating their compatibility. All their albums have a traditional bluegrass down home feeling. They work together and harmonize with a light-hearted rapport and laughter. Reflected in their sound, this band has been a team for the past 12 years.
Rich Rainey plays 5-string banjo, guitar, and has a special touch for introducing the songs like a storyteller. He sings lead and harmony with a tenor voice that is exquisite. Rich previously performed ten years with the "Bluegrass Cousins" before forming Risky Business which cumulated in an album entitled, "Are You From Dixie?".
Lorreta Myers sings beautiful country ballads and keeps a tight reign over the bands harmonies. She plays a mean bass and rhythm guitar.
Bob Wright plays rhythm and lead guitar along with sharing lead and harmony singing duties. He has performed with groups and solos in a variety of acoustic music for over ten years. Bob is also a student of the 5-string banjo.
Louis DeMayo plays mandolin and has a vast list of credentials including stints with local bands such as "Grovers Mill", "Hand Picked" and the "Sourland Mountain Ramblers."
