The Watchung Arts Center is now offering a teen art class. Projects will be based on the elements of art - incorporate shading, proper use of color and perspective. Veteran instructor, Monica Otero, trained in fine arts will lead this class.
Pencil, charcoal, India ink, pastels and watercolors will be used for the first five weeks. A painting on canvas using acrylics is to be created during the following five weeks. Subject matter includes landscapes, still life, portraits, abstraction and the imagination.
Class is scheduled for Tuesdays, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM beginning October 1st and running through December 10th, offering teens an exciting experience using various media. Tuition is $130, including all supplies.
Members of the Watchung Arts Center will receive a discount of $10 registration fee per course. Membership is inexpensive and open to all, providing numerous benefits beyond reduced class costs.
