Henry 5 Years Later

Five years after transforming Eliza into a lady, Henry Higgins found himself bored.  He had traveled the world these past five years and studied every language that there was to be known.  He had just arrived back home in England after a short stay in India.  He nearly missed his train ride, but got on at the last minute and quickly went to his designated seat.

To his surprise he found himself sitting next to a woman, and in her hand was Higgins' Universal Alphabet.  Henry was absolutely dumbfounded.  He soaked up the moment by pretending not to know who had written the book.  His intentions were to get some complementing comments from the girl about the author.  But to his surprise she said, "the book is very good yet the author has missed a few things."

Henry was astonished and quickly took defense to his book. The girl laughed and said she was just having fun with him and knew who he was.  Henry blushed and made himself comfortable in his chair and chuckled with the girl.  He formally introduced himself as did she. Her name was Amber.

Amber said that she had just graduated from Oxford and majored in phonetics.  She also told Henry that he was an inspiration to her.  Henry was very flattered.  He asked if she would like to hear an interesting story about a girl that he had turned into a lady.  Amber was all ears and Henry told her about Eliza.

The story brought a tear to his eye as he has not seen Eliza in about four years or so.  Henry said that he had learned a lot from her.  A lot about respecting those regardless of their class in society.  And a lot about trusting women more.  He said he realized that his idea of being a bachelor his whole life was utterly wrong.

"Love is something that every person needs," he exclaimed to the girl.

Amber responded by saying, "Wow you have changed a lot because of this girl haven't you?"

"Sure did" Henry replied.

Henry went on talking more about Eliza and how he never would have thought a common lower class girl could have impacted his live so greatly.  Amber was not at all surprised, she knew how powerful love was.  Her wedding was in fact in a week and two days.  The train stopped and it was time for Amber to get off.

"It was very nice meeting you, I would like if you came to my wedding" Amber said to Henry.

"I'd be honored said Henry, and if you would like I'd be glad to teach you all I know about new languages, I have traveled the world these past four years studying them constantly."

Amber thanked Henry and turned around and said, "You loved Eliza didn't you?"

"Yes" Henry exclaimed.

"Well, she will be at the wedding, she is my sister." Amber said.

Amber  walked away smiling and Henry sat there with a smirk on his face.
