We offer assortments because it isn't probable to say yes, we can ship 15 chocolate crested ducks this week. As with our diverse bloodlines & the pure genetics of it ONE doesn't know in advance really what to expect.

That is why we offer assortments...we should have enough of those listed colors to fill an order of 15 ducklings.

With Pekins one knows if they have 100 eggs in the bator for next week to hatch they can "sort of" count on 50 ducklings. Theoretically speaking.
With *crested, we could have 100 eggs in the bator (expect 50 to hatch) and must "*expect 33% to die in the shell from lethal genes". Of those that make it...1/3 will be NON CRESTED. Therefore we can not say how many of that breed we'll hatch...much less how many of any color we'll hatch.

We get some people that think they can order...2 pekins, 2 mallards, 2 blue swedish, 2 chocolate swedish, 4 chocolate crested, and 4 white cresteds. We could "accept and expect to fill" the first 3 choices, but we can not "guarantee" the next three choices would all hatch at that time. We might only hatch 1 chocolate crested, 20 white crested, 20 blue swedish, ZERO chocolate swedish, 17 black swedish.

Assortments are hatchery choice. One can "request" a certain color in the assortments and we'll do our best to include them. But if they are unavailable on hatch date we'll either ship what's available or wait until the following week if the purchaser wishes.
I.e. someone orders the rare colored crested assortment (15 ducklings) & WANTS white to be in it, even if it means waiting until the next hatch.

If you want to get just a couple of each breed it'll be hatchery choice. You can request a color if it's available we'll include it but if not we'll fill the order with the colors available at that time.
