About me

Today and the future

Today, I am healthier than I have been in years and feel as though I am growing stronger with each day. My symptoms have diminished incredibly and I can eat fruit and sugar without any problems.

I am very confident that mineral deficiencies (especially copper) are at the heart of many mental problems and candida outbreaks. I believe that there must be some connection between antibiotics and the growing amount of people who are becoming victims to celiac disease. Further, I believe it is celiac disease that is causing the reduced ability of the human body to absorb copper and therefore the resulting reduced immunity and candida outbreaks.

I am currently making arrangements to organize an awareness group called GRUA, or Group for the Responsible Use of Antibiotics. Personally, I think the western medical system is being ridiculous. Antibiotics are without question necessary in today's medical world but they come with a price. I honestly believe that supplementing high quality probiotics like Udo's Choice during a course of antibiotics will prevent the devastating results that so many of us have had to experience. Candida is a reality that must be dealt with through education.

My suggestion to anyone suffering with problems similar to the ones that I suffered from is to get a hair mineral analysis done. All the anti-fungals in the world won't help you if your body is incapable of helping itself. Stick to a higher protein diet to lessen your symptoms. Use a psyllium supplement for constipation (not the kind that comes in capsules - buy it in bulk, it's much cheaper and much more effective). Drink lots of water and take vitamins. If copper turns out to be low for you, supplement with caution - you may have an initial adverse reaction as I did. Check out Jon's website iThyroid for some great tips on rebalancing your minerals and overcoming candida. It's a not-for-profit site similar to Karen Tripp's and is packed with useful info. He will also get you thinking about why your hands and feet get so cold when you have a candida infection.

If you are currently struggling with a candida infection - don't give up! I almost did - and I am so glad that I didn't. Keep reading everything you can - you will find the answer!
