Welcome...To The

Every Once In A While...

A Truly Gifted Talent In The Blues
Rises To The Top...And Starts
Receiving The Recognition That Is Due.

In 1996, Alligator Records Released Bill's
4th CD For The Label, Rightfully Titled
"The Hard Way"...
For Me, It Was His Finest Release...
Showing His Continuing Mastery & Willingness
To Evolve & Experiment With Jazz & Blues.

Tragically, For Us All, This Was To Be
Bill's Last Work In The Studio...
To Be Released While He Was Alive.
William Clarke Died On Nov. 3, 1996

He Had A Total Of Ten LP's Or
CD's Released Under His Own Name.
Each One, In My Opinion, Shows His
Strength, Greatness & Continuing Growth.

I Was Very Fortunate Enough To Be Living
A Few Short Miles From The Clarke Family
For Quite A Few Years, And Became Pretty
Close With Bill & Jeannette Over Those Years.

I Could Go On & On & On About
My Admiration & Respect For Bill....
As A Good Person, & A Great Musician.
In My Book, He Was One Of The
Very Greatest Players Of All Time.
His Legacy Lives Through His Music...

His Name Is Right Up There With
Little Walter, Both Sonny Boy's,
Walter Horton, Junior Wells, George Smith,
& All The Great Legends Of Blues Harp!

Jeannette Clarke Lodovici Has Released
A William Clarke Video/DVD, Showing
Various Stages Of His Rising Career, With
"Never Seen Before" Live Footage Of Bill
With Band Line-Ups, From About 85 To 95.

The Video/DVD Is Called "My Last Good-Bye"
And Is Currently Available From Jeannette.
